T-Search is a clientside QoL mod inspired by the item search feature from the GregTech: New Horizons (FindIt) Minecraft modpack. Hover over any item in your inventory, hotbar, or Survival Handbook, then press T and the mod will scan nearby containers and highlight any that hold that item. The highlighting can even be seen through blocks.

Features:

- See through highlighting visible even behind blocks. On by default, toggle via config

- Camera snaps to the nearest matching container automatically. On by default, toggle via config

- Open GUIs are closed before snapping so you get a clear view. On by default, toggle via config

- Works with the Survival Handbook. Item detail pages only, not on search results or text/guide pages.

- Optionally search by the item currently held in your hand. Disabled by default, toggle via config

- Rebindable hotkey (default: T)

Default search range:

- Horizontal: 32 blocks in every direction

- Vertical: 3 blocks up and down

All settings configurable via VintagestoryData/ModConfig/tsearch.json

This mod was built with the assistance of AI.  The code was developed collaboratively with AI throughout the entire process.


Note: Testing has been limited due to university commitments so there may be undiscovered bugs. Feel free to report any issues you find.
