This mod extends the vanilla feature that allows you to place items into your hotbar by hovering over them and pressing a number key.
In vanilla you can press X (or whatever you have it bound to) to swap your right and left hand contents, but you cannot hover-and-press within an inventory, so that is where this mod comes in.
By default, the mod will use the same hotkey that you use for "Exchange left/right hand contents".
Works for hovering in any inventory such as your backpack or chests.

Does not appear to be working in 1.21.6
The mod seems to be inconsistent about respecting keybinds (it reverts to X after a reload, but still says whatever I bound it to in the keybinds menu) and also only works on first connection to a game after launch (ie, I launch the game and connect to a server, hotkey works; disconnect, reconnect, hotkey no longer works. restart game and connect, hotkey works)
can you change where it dont swap xskill hot bar , so it leaves them where we place those items please thank you [2]

rayray I'm not able to prevent slots from being sorted, this mod only pertains to swapping items, sorry.
sorting use z the hot swap uses R the back slot needs a locking function like 7days to die has so sort does not move them if you cant program that i understand ille ask the maker of x-skill if they can thank you
rayray Can you change the keybind for "Swap Hovered Slot with Offhand" to something other than R, maybe, if sorting also uses R?
YES. the strong back extra slots when i do sort it grabs them , those you can click R and it switches items , so i have a combat and a working set up but the sort function takes them out of the slots
