Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.21.1 and 1.21.2 - 1.21.5, outdated):
giantlilies-1.0.1.zip 1-click install
This mod allows the giant water lilies to generate naturally in the world. They can be found in tropical areas with high rainfall. Enjoy!
P.S. (it's my first mod!)

Can confirm working in 1.22.3
Saint_Marcos it should
does this still work on 1.22?
DarkMagiAkiro cool. I'll try looking into the coding thing and see if I can do it or not. No promises though, I'm a college student.
Heya, I created an improved Jungle Mod and recommended modpack that includes this mod - https://mods.vintagestory.at/betterjungles
Lillies look great in it :D
Strelitzia Hey, yes, I know those things, thanks. You can avoid having zero of an item by using the variation function with a value that won't result in it being less than the base value. Lillies without flowers are fine, it's the flowers without lillies that are unrealistic.
Regardless, not everyone is willing or able to do that, so a config file would be great if you can manage that at some point, plus it just makes things easier - I don't have to tab out, I can just use AutoConfigLib in game to adjust the sliders and see how things spawn in new chunks.
Edit - I think the best way to achieve this would for the number of flowers to be a function of the number of lillies.
DarkMagiAkiro If you want to edit the size of the groups, you can unzip the mod, navigate to the patch folder and edit the values in the quantity section of each patch. I am aware that some patches spawn without flowers, it's just a side effect of the randomness. There's no way to guarantee a patch spawns with a flower. I'm not a coder, so I'm just working with what little I can understand about the json files. I made the group sizes small because I know a lot of people don't like big patches of plants.
Hey, great mod thanks. Working fine in 1.21.6. The group sizes are a bit low though, often just finding a single lily pad with no flowers. Any chance of a config so we can change the spawn rates and group sizes please?
Looked at the files, and its seems that the flowers and lilies spawn seperately? I'm only an amateur at this so can't really give advice, but I imagine that you can just add a spawn frequency for flowers, and attach a variable amount of lily pads to that spawn.
hey i cant mod and i have a challenge for you lol. add borrows n nest either old or new like holes in the ground for rabits n such iv seen it done on a tree for a owl mod but not other animals id love to stumbel upon a rabit hole or nest somewhere and bugs snails lady bugs ect and fireflys and more stuff to go into the water. all them would hitttt
Really good first mod, simple but such a good idea. Those are the best ones. Be sure to make another.
weirdcress I love them too and I hope to see them added fully into the game eventually
I love them :)
m00n I considered it at first, but I figured it would be better to let people pick and choose if they want the water lilies or not since they don't generate naturally in vanilla. Thanks!!
ThornWitch I haven't upgraded to 1.21 yet but I'll check to see if it works and release an updated version if needed!
would you ever include this into you nature tweaks mod? im always using this its adds so much to the world
This mod is Great! is there any plan to update to 1.21.1?
a wonderfull first mod (sorry for bad spelling if any)
Nice, wild that this isn't a base game feature yet!
