Will this make it so I dont hear running water and crickets through walls? Because when using the mod I still seem to hear them even when underground below my garden.

I admit that I never tried the mod by itself, but on very lightly modded playthroughs it hogs A LOT of ram. Also the frametime gets fckd over in about 15 minutes of just walking around, especially in forests, so the stuttering makes the game unbrable. I dont have a clip of it but it can easily replicated by toggling it with Config Lib.

please retest if possible. I checked that eat now 2 gb ram more near to game for mod data (i uses ultra settings)

YourCreator no, but there's a portion of the community that frowns upon it, but there is also a good amount that does not care, and then you have ai vigilantes that go off in your comments section. If you feel bothered by them, report them, I've seen them be very rude to other modders.
Yes it is bad. Just because you don't care about what doesn't affect you personally doesn't mean that it isn't. You don't need to white knight for AI corporations.

Honestly, I usually treat AI image as a red flag that the mod is probably shit and skip most of those. Shitty paint picture is always better than AI image for me.

Yes. Generative AI is trained on theft, it's not good to support the AI companies that are doing a lot of harm to the environment and market, and using AI images makes it less clear what your mod does at a glance and often more likely for people to just ignore it completely.
Even something ugly made in Paint has more soul to it. People will go well as long as it's not the thing they do it's fine and that's a super lame nihilistic, apathetic way of looking at life. I encourage you to ignore those people.
I feel that images created using drawing software can never match the soul of hand-drawn art on paper. However, this still relies on some form of appropriation—unless you have never been exposed to anyone else's artwork, how can you be sure you haven't plagiarized? So the right approach would be to have a newborn baby draw on paper by hand, ensuring the image is original and soulful, uninfluenced by others' works.
this is purely fallacious reasoning. ai is not actually artificial intelligence. it is an algorithmic imitation. by its nature it is directly fed human work in order to tear it down and approximate pixel placements based on a sorting algorithm. there is no soul involved, there is no consciousness, no heart, no creation, no expression.
the entire point of generative ai is to replace workers and reduce costs for corporations. this garbage is poisoning your world and turning everything into same-style corporate slop with the color of urine. it is making your water bills go up marginally, your electricity bills go up substantially, the prices of computer parts go up exponentially, and work significantly more difficult to find for people who need it.
i wish people like you would actually study instead of pretending to be philosophers online. the comparison of ai to calculators or to digital art mediums is nonsensical and based on pure ignorance. ai is not a tool, does not help anyone, and is designed specifically to replace you.
inspiration is not theft. it's not appropriation, not even remotely. generative ai is admittedly theft, because theft is NECESSARY in incorporating someone's work as "training data" for an algorithm on this scale.
I also hope you could do something that contributes to the player community, rather than venting your dissatisfaction with AI on the mod creators who freely enhance the gaming experience by making mods for you.
You bought the game—didn’t I as well? I’ve created over a dozen mods and even a launcher, helping at least thousands of players. So what have you done? Is your contribution to the community simply sparking debates about AI and wasting everyone’s time?
You don’t have to feel grateful toward us mod creators, but you have no right to make demands of us either—unless you’re willing to pay. If you offer enough money, I’ll delete all my mods on ModDB that use AI.

Nobody is demanding you do anything. You're the one that feels entitled to steal real people's art and churn it to make your "content" and are mad people are criticising it. If it's not worth it to actually do yourself then it wasn't worth it for you to do at all and we're better off without you flooding everybody's pages with slop. Is getting blocked from repos and banned from art forums not enough of a wake up call?
All you AI bros can ever do is skirt around the issues and pretend they don't exist and do bad faith arguments with whataboutism or appeals to authority and then have the audacity make demands of actual artists to give you stuff for free so you stop using theft machines. It's absolutely shameless and always exactly the same thing every time from people who know they're in the wrong.
You are pretending that harassing mod authors can solve the AI problem, while turning a blind eye to the benefits of AI. But AI is already an objective trend, much like the Industrial Revolution once was. It does have its downsides, but it will not disappear because of your personal will.
Moreover, aside from ranting and harassing us here, have you actually taken any real action against AI? Have you protested at AI companies or government offices? Are you sure that all the software you use, including this website, hasn’t utilized AI assistance? You’re just being cynical, with no solutions in mind and no clear idea of what you even want.
You’re merely enjoying the feeling of speaking out boldly, seeking validation from others. Don’t pretend to be so noble. As for asking me to delete my work, you’ll have to pay for it, or get my users to agree. You can go directly to my mod page and leave a comment, telling them my work uses AI and is garbage, and ask them to collectively oppose my work.
By the way, I’ve also contributed code to open-source projects like Godot and Jint. You can go ahead and ask them to delete my contributions too. And as for the numerous open-source projects I’ve published on GitHub, go ahead and complain to GitHub. Let me see how far you, a freeloader, are willing to go in opposing AI.
