Lightweight sister mod for Terra Prety which replaces one ice blocklayer with snow to eliminate peculiar glaze of ice on mountain peaks and other regions. Will not be compatible with other mods which alter the game's blocklayers. Will likely be expanded upon in the future.

Does this mod just completely delete glacier ice? I'm looking for the stuff so I can keep my food cold for another mod, but there's no ice I can find on mountain tops.
same here, spawns normally then dissapears after a bit leaving shadows and floating blocks
Same issue with shadows for me. Weird thing is, the snow caps were normal when I first loaded the world, and over time they started disappearing. Maybe they somehow melt in an unintended way?
I'm also getting broken snowcaps with the latest update of this mod (with Terra Prety, Watersheds, and Rivers). Snowcaps are just gone and there's a layer of snow floating above the top layer of the mountains.
Having some issues with Snow caps they do not load in and there is broken shadows where snow suposed to be, if I place block on it shadows disapear. Using it with terra prety game version 1.22.2

I'm having the same problem.
And to add to it, the weird shadows allow monsters to spawn which is a tad weird to see them crawl out of the pitch blackness lol
yep same thing with mobs
From what I have heard the weird shadow thing is happening in vanilla and other mods as well. But it shouldn't occur on first generation with Snow Caps now.

It's the same version as 1.20, I just updated the info because it still works with 1.21.

heya, can you reupload the 1.20 version? it's generally bad practice to delete older versions from the file archive, as people need that when playing older versions.
Flint_N_SteelKoda it seems like its half working ive not actually played full vanilla so idk what it would have been. Basically there is some snow blocks on top but also a fair amount of glaicer ice and packed glaicer ice

I'm a huge fan of this mod - any word on it still working for 1.21? I know the land generation has changed a bit, so I'm not sure if blocklayers would have changed as well.

Haven't checked but it should be! I don't believe anything changed with blocklayers in 1.20.12.
