Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.18.15, 1.19.8, 1.20.12, 1.21.0, 1.21.1, 1.21.2 - 1.21.5, 1.21.6 and 1.22.0-rc.1, potentially outdated):

For now it just adds in the elements you can find instead of unimplemented resources.
Default names are included for each marker.
Compatible with Alternative Map Icon Renderer.
The font is Verdana.

Novarleeir Yeah that's a good idea. You could also use a scaled down image of Peter Griffin for saltpeter. Icon problem solved. 🙃

A salt shaker for salt could work
Yeah, it's unfortunate, but I don't think there are any good ways to make markers for borax, saltepter, salt, cinnabar or lapis lazuli. Even more unfortunately 3 of those are white 😅

I was thinking about how to do things like borax, but I don't think Na2H20B4O17 would make for a very palatable map marker
Nice. I was looking for a simple mod that added element markers.
Only other markers I would personally add would be "C" for carbon (coals), "Si" for silicon (quartz/olivine) and "S" for sulfur.
Dirty_Wizard I'm not too sure, but given that these icons and More Map Icons share some of the same marker names, there could be a conflict, but I haven't tested it
Nice mod, good idea, very useful for labelling deposits. It should be compatible with other map icon mods like "More Map Icons", right? Since it only adds icons, not replaces them?
