About Pixnop
Hi, I'm Pixnop, also known as Leon, based in Montpellier in southern France.
By day I work as a software developer at an environmental consulting firm, where I'm the sole dev behind a suite of internal applications used by field naturalists (botanists, bat specialists, mammalogists) to collect, clean and publish biodiversity data. That job has shaped a lot of how I think about code: clean boundaries, small focused libraries, and APIs designed to be used by people who aren't you.
Outside of work I'm finishing up a BUT in computer science as part of a work-study program, and I spend an unreasonable amount of time on side projects. I run a homelab, I fly FPV drones, I 3D print, and I built my own keyboard from scratch. Pretty much anything that lets me touch the whole stack from firmware to UI ends up on my desk at some point.
My philosophy in modding is the same as at work: I'd rather ship a small library that ten people use to make great mods than a single mod that tries to do everything. Clean APIs, good docs, sane defaults.
