Heyo! This map was created for our server here: https://discord.gg/EvgsrZcMnw , but i've decided to make it public so people can enjoy it in singleplayer. This is the same schtick as the Hybrasil map I also released using the worldpainter mod by YangWenLi here: https://mods.vintagestory.at/worldpainter
Files download: {rehosting}
This map is 30k by 20k blocks, the map picture in the moddb makes it look square but it's a rectangle. This map is made for 512 world height
A note, this map has been heavily gamified for the use in the server, and in order to fit in WorldPainter's parameters we have cut a lot of regions and reduced the size of a lot of the empty fields in order to make important locations larger and to have a much higher proximity to mountains (because mountains are fun). Keep this in mind all ye lore purists.
How to use:
The worldpaint you will need you to export it using the VS worldpainter export tool, but it can be edited and viewed, this is best for using it as a learning tool to see how a large worldpainter map for Vintagestory works, the layers have been removed in order to preserve loot areas on the server but also because it makes the map file really big.
For the .zip file, once you download the VS worldpainter mod, run it once, and drop this file (unzipped) in the modconfig, you can play straight away.

I keep generating either an ocean or a deep hole surrounded by snow and ice. I have it set to world height 512 but I feel like I'm doing something else wrong?
EDIT: WRONG! I was spawning where I was supposed to. To the later comers, you spawn smack dab in a hole in the middle of the Misty Mountains. You probably want to discuss where the admin(s) should move that spawn point to in order to move it elsewhere. Nothing wrong; everything is acting as intended. I feel silly.
Thanks for sharing! I tried implementing this in a single player world, but found that the areas that are meant to have water do not have any. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there some trick to the worldgen? Would love to have the big rivers and oceans to sail around in.
Be sure to set generation height ot 512, I should've probably mentioned that
Beleriand map in futur ?
You would not believe this, but we have another coincidence to laugh at:
Was just helping a person trying to integrate a Middle Earth map via world heigh maps and such....digging into the world gen, and then suddenly you post this.
You must sit on some leyline or something LOL
