TranslocatorPaths

A client-side [Vintage Story](https://www.vintagestory.at/) mod that draws a
line on the world map from every repaired static translocator to the location
it teleports you to, so you can see your translocator network at a glance.

Features

  • Map lines — each repaired translocator is drawn from its source to its exit, coloured by the group it belongs to.
  • Groups — organise translocators into colour-coded groups; toggle each one's visibility independently.
  • Per-world save — discovered translocators are saved automatically per savegame.
  • Sharing — export your list (whole list or a single group) to a drop
folder others can import, or automatically upload to paste.rs and auto-post
the link in chat for automatic import by anyone who has opted in.
  • In-game GUI — open with the K hotkey (or .tlgui) to manage groups and reassign translocators. Right-click a translocator endpoint on the map to change its group directly.

Usage

Command Description
.tlgui Open the manager GUI (also bound to K).
.tl Status: groups, counts, share/import folder paths.
.tlgroup add|color|rename|toggle|del <args> Manage groups.
.tlassign <group> Assign the nearest translocator to a group.
.tlexport [group] Export to the share folder (whole list, or one group).
.tlimport Scan the import folder and merge other players' lists.
.tlshare Upload your list to paste.rs and post the link to chat.
.tllinesrescanhere / .tllinesrescanall Rescan the current chunk / all loaded chunks.
.tllinesscan
Set the rescan interval (default 3s).

Possibly using too much memory, please report any issues/crashes

Future plans:

Server Side sharing to All/In-game group similar to ProspectTogether

made in 10 mins, needs manual code review and desloppifying AI code

Made a couple of pull requests for performance, check them out. I'll look into if its possible to click on a TL and have the map pan to the TL connected to it.

This is so incredibly handy with the massive amount of TLs on our server. One thing that would make it even more useful would be if the TL information box had a button that moved the map view to the other side of the TL, to save a lot of scrolling every time you're trying to remember where that TL went.

this mod has saved me a lot of frustration, thanks for sharing!

This is very handy, especially on a server where you want to get between long distant towns and find new resources. It's working fine on Vintage Rift, haven't seen any bugs with it.

One thing that would be a fantastic addition would be an easy way to view the further end of a translocator on the map without having to scroll, which is difficult on a busy server with lots of overlapping TLs. Either double clicking or a button on the TL information dialog that jumps the map to the further end would be amazing - not sure if that's possible but would be great for useability.

Would a port for 1.21+ be possible?

explain how to delete and rescan?
.tlgroup del Discovered doesnt work
afterwards I type in .tllinesrescanall to recover the correct lines?

Not possible from this menu. I will push an update to add a delete button to this menu to make it possible. For now best way would be to move it to a unique group then delete from main mod menu.

Any way of making this compatible with translocator relocator? the lines don't move after we've moved the translocators, even if we reload them

I love you

1.2.1 update caused the mod to no longer function for me in-game.

@Kenray: whats happening? Contact me on discord @atomiskkre_87747

Turned out to just be a weird bug with the mod manager I use. Re-downloading and re-installing the mod completely fixed it 🙂
