configurestructuresforked_1.2.0.zip
1-click install
Warning!
Hello, I created this fork from the original project at https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/5800. When the original author decides to recover and update their mod, I will delete this fork. I can also share the development code with you if you'd like. I only did this because I find it very useful for my own server. Regards,
Advertencia!
Saludos,
Instructions in English
`configureStructuresForked` is a lightweight server-side utility mod for Vintage Story 1.22.x.
It allows server owners and modpack creators to override the game's built-in structure spawn chance values through a simple configuration file. This makes it possible to disable specific structures entirely, make rare structures more common, or reduce the frequency of structures that feel too abundant for a particular world setup.
The mod is designed to stay out of the way:
- It only runs on the server
- Clients do not need to install it
- It does not modify any structure unless you explicitly add it to the config
The package includes:
- `configurestructuresforked.json`: the real config file used by the mod
- `configurestructuresforked.template.jsonc`: commented template in English
- `configurestructuresforked.template.es.jsonc`: commented template in Spanish
Examples of what you can control:
- Translocators via `gates`
- Common, rare, and special surface ruins
- Underground lakes
- Several trader variants
- Quartz, olivine, smoky quartz, rose quartz, and amethyst vugs
Important note:
- A value of `0` disables new generation of that structure type
- Any value above `0` replaces the original game `Chance`
- Some game codes represent multiple internal variants, such as `undergroundruin` and `buriedtreasurechest`
## Usage Instructions
1. Install the mod on the server.
2. Open `configurestructuresforked.json`.
3. Add the structure codes you want to change under `STRUCTURES_CHANCES`.
4. Set a value:
- `0` to disable new generation
- Higher values for more frequent generation
- Lower values for less frequent generation
5. Restart the server.
Example:
```json
{
"STRUCTURES_CHANCES": {
"gates": 0,
"trader-forest": 3.0,
"trader-outpost": 0.02
}
}
```
Compatibility:
## Changelog 1.2.0
- Rebuilt the original mod against the current Vintage Story 1.22.x API
- Updated the Harmony patch to work with the 1.22 structure generation pipeline
- Kept the mod server-side so clients do not need to install it
- Added a clean default config that changes nothing unless edited
- Added commented configuration templates in English and Spanish
- Improved documentation for setup, compatibility, and configuration behavior
- Ruinas superficiales comunes, raras y especiales
- Lagos subterraneos
- Varias clases de traders
- Vugs de cuarzo, olivino, cuarzo ahumado, cuarzo rosa y amatista
Nota importante:
4. Define un valor:
- `0` para desactivar la generacion nueva
- Valores mas altos para aumentar la frecuencia
- Valores mas bajos para reducir la frecuencia
5. Reinicia el servidor.
Ejemplo:
```json
{
"STRUCTURES_CHANCES": {
"gates": 0,
"trader-forest": 3.0,
"trader-outpost": 0.02
}
}
```
Compatibilidad:
## Changelog 1.2.0
Pardon, but seeing a bunch of AI thumbnail based mods all uploaded simultaneously makes me suspect the user Vibecoded, as it takes 0 effort to take screenshots, so I'm gonna not download anything from them, and start filtering out AI using mods.
Thanks for telling us. That's very useful.
Okay, I have to ask. Why use GenAI to generate two pseudo-VS "Before/After" screenshots instead of just taking two actual screenshots?
On that topic, you made the entire overview image into a thumbnail- It's very hard to read. If you still have the original image file, you might want to copy the crossed-out "translocator tower", and make just that your thumbnail.
literally always wondering this jfc
