there are THOUSANDS of items in the game, making it very difficult to get everything looking perfect. Let me know what looks wrong and I'll give it a look!


This mod is a WIP, a few things will stay how they are, but some of the models will probably change/be expanded on/improve! They are all very basic at the moment, mostly so that I could get it out and get to using it. I spent many many hours trying to make sure everything fully functions, but some things may still be a little off. Please let me know if you find anything that may be game breaking!

From the tables I've made, the Workbench is the only one that seems worth doing. It seems to hold basically anything.

 

The Tailor's bench is unecessarily limiting. Can't hold shears, no place to place items on the tabletop like the Workbench, can't place rope, pelts, can't even place twine in it. Just cloth and leather and flax fibers as far as I can tell?

not sure where your issue is with flax twine, I'm able to place it just fine. 
The surfaces for the top where you place things seemed to have broke with the last update, and youre the first person to bring it to my attention. So any limitations on that end are unintentional. Outside of that, the drawers hold rope, pelts, shears, anything else. Granted a couple items disappear in the drawers, thats simply because I havent created drawer transforms for every item in the game yet, they are still there, and the tooltip shows what items in what slot nonetheless. 

I've spent a lot of time on this mod, for free, no one pays me to do this. When I made it, I made things how I wanted them. What may not be worth making for you, is worth it to someone else. Instead of commenting in a place of negativity, please feel free to offer any suggestions or improvements you would like to see, or make a mod yourself that adds items that may be worth crafting and that aren't unnecessarily limiting.

How does the Chef's Table work? I put seed oil in the liquid holder but can't get it out again. I also can't put anything into the pot slots on the right.

Hold sneak and right click to remove liquids, there are tool tips, the right click to remove all doesnt seem to be functioning correctly at the moment, but holding sneak right click removes 1 portion at a time, and can be held down so it removes it quickly. You can see that here.
For the pots, you can only add cooked meals, like stews and whatnot. I just tested this and its functioning just fine. Also clipped that which you can see here.

I always forget control hints are a thing, that's my bad. According to the control hints, Right Mouse is both 'add' AND 'remove' liquid. I was able to work it though.

And I had a play around, it wasn't obvious how you light the cooking pot, but I figured out you do it the same way as any other fire.

Seems like produce stall perish rate is stuck at x0.38? Currently its winter, and whether or not I put it outside or inside a cellar it stays at that value.

Question: The powder jars - Is flour suppose to be able to go into those or no? I ask this, because I assumed due to food perish that yes, however when trying to place some rye flour in, it told me that it doesn't go in there, but bonemeal will. So just double checking what actually is supposed to go in the jars and now.

Wanted to report, it seems that Larch basic bench recipe is missing for some reason. Cannot seem to craft it. 
Also wanted to say I love the looks of the storages. The firewood one is amazing for a compact non crate aesthetic storage. Though at the moment I feel the storage drawers super jank, and it seems that workbench tool storage don't do well for modded tools at the moment. But thats the little things. I finally don't have to use storage vessels for everything now 😂

Haha yes I will have to start working on compatability soon for modded tools, and the drawers are a nightmare that will eventually get an overhaul, but I am glad you like them! I was also tired of using vessels and chests for everything

Could you perhaps summarize the features of each storage unit on the mod overview page? The old overview, before it was changed to what it is now, was certainly long, but it was great because it had all the necessary information. The current overview is clean, but it lacks any information about what each workbench does or how many storage slots it provides, so aside from the visuals, I can’t learn anything about this mod. If you streamlined it because you didn’t like the old overview being too long, perhaps you could provide a collapsible summary page instead.

Itll all be available in the wiki soon, hopefully, been working on getting updates out for this mod and my others so havent had a ton of time to update it, but ill put some info in today!

Latest update (1.2.0) wiped everything out of our gardener's bench. Translations/strings were also broken. Not sure if the issue is/was more widespread. We rolled back to a backup and the previous version and everything is back. Sorry to not have more to share but just a warning to everyone to take a backup before updating!

ok so back again started a new save cause my other one got badly nuked so why do i still not have access to stone storages i have both blush lib and blush bins installed to latest version and attribute lib at latest as well

Are they just not appearing in the creative inventory? I know some people have been having issues finding them there, but they should still be craftable.

hahaha, I am going to HOPEFULLY be able to push out an update tonight, if not tonight, then tomorrow, and a few of the models have been redone!

Could the hobby benches be modified to not go beyond their size? The chefs counter takes up three blocks, but the counters two legs are in the fourth block, which leads to me not being able to store firewood there, as otherwise I get flickering chefs counter legs.

I know it's a lot of work to make the cupboards also be visually pleasing to put things into. The current solution of it just being downsized items is kind of jarring, but the tables themselves look too good to not use them.

The workbench is the only one that I find really really jarring in that the tools also get miniaturize-beamed when put on the built-in toolrack.

And the firewood storage in the workbench is also misplaced.

The blanket displays are the last thing on the list. I have many mods and haven't figured out how to click on their tabs if they are below the window. (Any ideas on how to do this would be much appreciated.) The only way I can bring up anything is to search for them. Blush brings up these. Everything is still in the Survival Handbook, just not in the creative menue. At least with my limitations.

It was the one of the basic leather armor - I tried several clothing items and they were all very tiny lol

Hi there! I think the hanging planters may have gone missing somewhere around the 1.1.2 update? Mine were replaced with white ? blocks and I can't find them in the creative menu, even after updating to more recent versions. Thanks for making such a great mod!

Yes! They will be back within the next couple of updates, they are just currently being overhauled a little bit! There were a lot of rendering issues with them so adjustments desperately have been needed.

No those were remapped in a previous update, if you jumped from pre-ARL to the most recent version and hadnt updated in between then that would probably do it, you can still remap them by going back to 1.1.1, loading into the world, then reloading in the most recent version!

Hi! First of I want to say I am in love with this mod. There is never enough cute ways to store items! 

I am having a super weird issue, however. We were testing some mods for a server and for some reason I, and only I, am unable to place anything on the collectibles display, or some items that use the cabinet voxel placing system. The other players had no issue placing items in the collectibles display. I have even tried doing it in a single player world with only this mod and ARL and still I'm unable to do so. 

I've tried reinstalling the game, the mod, deleting cache and player data even, and I just can't get it to work. It seems such a weird and specific issue but I thought I'd send you a message in case you can think of anything :,)

Ill look into this! Switching to ARL has made a lot of things a little finicky and its still a little bit of trial and error, but Ill get a fix out for this ASAP!

Hey there,
I noticed with the update that the produce racks have now a higher perish than that of a storage vessel, making them actually pointless. As such, it seems even when you spend the resources to make say the produce stall, it still is not as effective as the storage vessels in a cellar. Was it meant to be less efficient or just some fine tweaking still required?

I only ask this because if it is meant to be less effective, than there is no reason to really use them, and while I know there is a config file now, I admit I am not a big fan of playing with config files in concern of accidently breaking something (and i like keeping to a modder's original vision of their items).

Either way, thank you for this amazing mod, as most of it I am having a blast using.

Hey! I did notice after fixing the config files, that it increased the produce racks, this will be fixed soon! There are a couple other issues im tackling at the same time, I do appreciate you reaching out though, and look out for the next update it should be straightened out then!

I think noticed a bug where searching up Blush and Bins in the everything tab in creative, does not show all the items the Mod has like other mods would.. is that intended?

Produce Bins is also mysteriously 2 blocks tall when it only occupies 1 block height

They seem extremely high to me, grains in a sack go from 7 years to 15, or pumpkins go from 3 months to a 1.3 years. Also, I can't to put Fennel in the produce bins. Thanks so much!

Thank you for letting me know about the fennel! As for everything else, I would recommend comparing them to a vessel if you want the simplest route. Hovering over a vessel should so you the different values for veggies/grain/other, and you can copy these over to the different food storage options!

Haha sorry wiki is a WIP, I have a few different project im working on + a server I run so I do what my ADHD allows me when it does. Thats def odd for the value changing, so I will take a look at that ASAP, as for the chefs counter, it has a stove top, a pie table built in, crocks to hold soups and foods, and then a space underneath to hold liquids. There is also free placement in a few spots!

Yes a lot of things have very slow perish rates, and then theyre all adjustible in the config file! Crock rack should be the 2nd option down!

Breaking an oak hanging shelf makes it duplicate. Didn't look at any other varieties. I am on VS 1.22.2 and v1.1.1 of the mod (downloaded May 6th).

I had an issue where some of the healing poultices placed on the top surface of the basic bench. i got injured during a storm and ran to use a bandage off the table. it played the animation and showed the progress bar and consumed the item from the stack in the hotbar but diod not provide any healing. i tested the remaing poultices and it was all the same results. I then placed some fresh poultices on the table and then attempted to pick up and use them and those new one worked fine. Not sure if maybe those old ones were there pre update or something but was a weird event.

Basically with the update to ARL, I was struggling to get the remapping to work how I wanted. So theres a couple versions that have the remapping, and then I took it out. So if you load in the world with v1.1.1, and be sure that you load all of the blush and bins items, then close the world, update to the recent version, when you login, itll have them remapped for you! So they wont be the white cubes, but jumping from pre-arl to the most recent version will not remap the items since the logic is no longer there!

Have I to interact with these blocks or just load the world? I was trying to do that, load the world, run around blocks, save world, change mod from 1.1.1 to 1.1.10 and then boom - white blocks. I will try again, or maybe i chose wrong version of mod. I've managed it, thanks for help!

1.1.1 is non-ARL and has all the same content as the rest of the mod so you are very welcome to continue using it! I may try to maintain a version without ARL, but its a little more work so for now until I get things stable itll just be ARL for the updates!

Hi! I see you are trying to fix the problems others have already noted here.

For us  the problem stemmed from when Attribute Rendering Library was introduced. We reverted to before that mod, cleared cache and game is again buttery smooth. To be frank, we were pretty careful to avoid that library until now.
Will be there a version without that dependency for those with incompatibilities with that? Thank you in any case!

Glad to hear that has cleaned it up a bit! I have finally gotten it straightened out by removing the remapping logic, which was causing the overload. I added it in so people didnt have to respawn all of their items, but it was way more trouble than it was worth. I will be staying with ARL simply because it takes the weight of the mod down a TON, and I want to keep expanding, so I would like to keep it as optimal as possible. If you would like to update to the version I just put out, I recommend updating to the first version that added ARL, have an admin load in and fly around everyones bases so that the remapping can actually take place, then update to the version I just put out. This will keep everyone items in tact, but get rid of the lag caused with the game attempting to remap every chunk on every join. Most recent release is stable, but you may have to respawn a few things!

We are encountering lag when someone logs in with the Blush mod suite; there is a block scanner that replaces old versions of the blocks that lag everyone on the server when someone logs in and it fires. We have had to disable the mods temporarily, but we love them! Hopefully we can get that fixed soon. <3 If you need logs at all, please let me know.

the chefs counters perish rate in the mounted pots is not true
its listed as being way slower/more effective then it actually is

it says it puts perish rate to 0.05
it does not
its more like normal inventory rates far as i can tell

the liquid container doesnt fill containers correctly either, it only allows you to fill small amounts

For some reason the workbench with tool rack can't be crafted. When creating the workbench, it's called "blushandbins:block-basicbench-north". Rather than "Basic Bench", which is what the handbook calls it.

I noticed something weird, the Large Barrel (500L) sometimes when placed it have no collition on the right side (player facing it) and you can just pass tru the barrel or even place stuff "inside" the barrel if you place items on ground or structures in the back right side of the barrel. This is not a 100% thing, sometimes barrels have the full collition and you can place anything under it or inside it (not talking about filling the barrel itself, just placing objects in the same blocks the barrel is). The only way i found to solve it was breaking and placing it again until it have its full collition.

Actually having difficulty finding the settings for chef counters in the config, only see produce bins, crock shelves, and vegetable basket racks.

Hello, I hope you are well! I am having an issue with Large Barrel placement. I think its hitbox or collision is one block off, as I can place it clipping into things on the right (the player's right when facing it, it is the block's left). I also can't place any blocks to the left of it, because it says that there is a block in the way. This is really messing with the layout of my cellar. Thank you!

P1nkOblivion Is it possible that this mod conflicts with Food Shelves? I installed both of these mods on our server. There are some recipes in Food Shelves, specifically cut ice, that I can't craft ... even though I see a recipe for it from Food Shelves in the Handbook.

BTW, what do you think is the best way to test for mod conflicts? A solo world with just those two mods installed?

My mod does not touch any ice recipes whatsoever so it is most likely something else conflicting with it, but if youd like to test them together a solo save is the best way to do that!

Definitely safe to add mid-save since it's just storage options! I recommend looking at blush librarys mod page, it adds a ton of metals/ores to the game, so its just more variants of items in this mod!

Attribute rendering library is meant for when 1 itemtype has 100+ variants, doesnt do much for 1 itemtype that has 13 variants. Also wouldnt cut down on mod size at all, would only increase the size since it would be additional namespaces. ARL is meant to help mods such as aldi's rucksack mod that has 1500 variants of the same bag, since it decreases the amount of different assets being loaded. This cuts the amount of time the mod adds to server join significantly because your client doesn't have to come up with all of that. I would consider, if I had more variants of more items. Thank you for the suggestion though!

You can have it here. But i didnt find anything related to the crash there at all. I was holding a hammer once, a bloom in tongues the other time, and i think it happens with more items. i have for now removed the chefs counter from my kitchen because it was a 100% crash rate every time i was doing something there. just sometimes it took 10 seconds sometimes one. Its a SP world

I replicated the crash
the server log has last entry about 20 seconds before the crash and there is nothing about the crash. Idk if its because the game instantly crashed to desktoip that it doesnt log anything or why. I can send you the logs directly jsut let me know where.

would you be willing to delete the mod, delete your cache, then resintall the mod and see if it still happens? The guard I set in place doesnt seem to be active based on where the crash is coming from, possibly due to a stale DLL, let me know!

So far wasnt able to make it crash so i guess that helped. thank you. My fps tanked strangely but that could be undrelated. But my world takes ages to load now suddenly and i see this in client-debug log

okay its all sorted out. but i have a general question. does the tailors bench have a linen storage. i may just be blind but i cannot find a spot to store linen only cloth, leather, flax twine and fibers.

There wasnt any liquids that i stored in there but there was a bucket with honey right next to it and one of your large barrels very nearby but heres the thing, To be fair, we did something out of the norm and exported a bunch of our builds to a new world since we started one in release canidate and the world gen was very very broken. I noticed that several of storages in the exported builds, mainly modeded ones, had random objects in them replacing original contents. it could very easily have been this that caused it i reckon. I did maybe have a bowl of honey sitting on the top of the bench though but when I loaded up creative in the same world it didntt have a crash just interacting with the bench so i tried to put said bowl of honey in the drawer and got a crash. Ill assume that the contents of the drawer got shuffled on import and maybe thats what caused the original crash.
UPDATE: okay yeah i imported the same build in creative and the items place on the bench surface are not the ones i placed so i assume that is the cause although i cant recreate it the way it happened as reported.

Could you attempt this with all other mods disabled? Maybe load into a single player world with only bins enabled and see if you get the same crash? It says "BlockLiquidContainerTopOpened", and the basic bench doesn't hold any liquid logic, making me think it's possibly something else nearby or contained in the basic bench. Do you have any barrels stored, or buckets, cups, etc? That hold liquids, maybe in the drawers? It's trying to render a liquid holding container when you interact with the bench but is unable to

edit: Also, it seems grabbing coal from the workbench or fiber/twine from the tailor bench by holding ctrl grabs everything in a single oversized stack if it's above 64 items. So I have a stack of 320 flax fibre in one inventory slot now. Putting items in these little mini-crate slots and taking them back out seems really finnicky as a whole at the moment.

If i use a stack that has more than one bowl to pick the food back up, i loose all the other bowls in the stack. Something a little messed up in there. Also when i destroy the containers, they dont drop what they are containing.

Are the Large Barrels that hold liquids compatible with Carry-on mode? If not, could you please add this compatibility? I want to store seawater from a spot about 400 blocks away from my house, but carrying 500 liters of seawater with a bucket seems like it would be a truly grueling task. Carrying 500 liters of liquid on my back doesn’t seem to make much sense, but considering that Seraph can run around with hundreds of stones in his inventory, I suppose it could be considered game-fair.

Unfortunately the barrels are multiblock (2x2), so carrying them has a chance of deleting blocks when theyre broken. Do you have it turned off so you cant just move the water source? If thats the case, regular barrels are able to be carried on, maybe 100L plus as many buckets as you can fill may not be so bad?

Shift + Ctrl + Right Clicking on the mounted storage pots for the Chefs counter with a full bowl to add the meal back into the pot seems to completely delete the bowl

I've been really enjoying the mod, especially the hanging shelf! I'm having fun making dense little shop spaces of all kinds and filling shelves with fruit, jugs, backpacks, candles, bandages, knives, etc etc.

Though I'm still missing similar mods from 1.21, yours has really inspired me to play around with and come up with ideas for the new storage mechanics of 1.22.

Currently working on a "Little Things" display/shelf! It's inspired by those corner shower things you can buy with like 5 different holders lol. Anyway they can be stuck into corners and stacked up, each has 3 slots for placing "little things", resin, nails and strips, arrow heads, metal bits, candles, coiled rope, poultices, etc! Its all done, just have to finish making things look nice in it! Give me a couple hours and itll be pushed out! Im really glad you're enjoying the mod! I hope to inspire lots of decor and creativity!

Oh man, the chef's table! It's quite a bit more than I was expecting - I didn't have a cook top and meal storage on my bingo card. The cook top in particular looks like an electric hot plate, but I expect it to improve in time.

Side note, looks like I get a free brown ceramic pot when I break the chef's table with food in meal storage, so that's dupe bug.

Version 1.0.6 seems to have fixed the problem with the produce racks, so that's all good now. If I may suggest something, it would be neat to get a kitchen bench with some liquid storage, a small crock or pot rack, and (if possible) a place to make pies without the vanilla table!

Thank you for the mod, really great idea with the storage.   

I had noticed there appeared to be a duplicate bug with the basic bench. Am running the linux dedicated server with 1.22 rc 10 and had two people on it, after placing the basic shelf and destroying it to pick it up, I got back two of them, one in my inv and one on the floor. This happened in the upgraded bench and even also with the seed bench.

 

I also had a suggestion for down the line, I think it would be nice to remove some of the uniformity in the storage display, for example, if you compare how the firewood stacks in the firewood holder in this mod vs the vanilla floor stacking, the vanilla looks bit more interesting the way they are slightly random in their rotation. Either way great mod and can't wait to see it develop further, thank you again for it.

bins on all the benches have the same problem of bulk drawing everything in one giant stack
there seems to be two unusable "gardening supplies" bins on the bottom left of the gardener's bench
opening drawers changes the lighting on the bench
closing drawers sometimes has the drawer briefly extend way out
placing items on top of storage drawers places them in the wrong spot
cannot store brown coal in the workbench coal bins
workbench coal bins reset visually stored amount when loading the world, removing then adding fixes it
strangely difficult to deposit items in certain produce rack bins

would be nice to see stored food perish speed on crock shelves like you can on regular shelves
would be nice to let both bins on the tailor's bench hold flax fiber or flax twine
produce bins are slightly too short to visually stack nicely
gear storage on workbench is small and difficult to click
firewood storage on the workbench clips in to the drawer above it when full
firewood storage on the workbench is limited to a weird number, 60
fiber and twine bins on the tailor's bench are limited to weird numbers, 300 and 210 respectively
firewood in the firewood storage and workbench could use some slight length, thickness, and rotation angle randomness to make them visually appealing like vanilla firewood stacks

Appreciate all of the feedback! I will get to work on the cheese crash, and the weird item placement for the storage drawers promptly! 

As for visual fixes, those are a huge WIP, Im using fill models for everthing so some have them already, while others dont. Theres a lot of fruit veggies and mushrooms so transforming and shaping them individually is taking some time, hopefully I can send a few out with each update to help with things looking better!

Will definitely update the drawer slots to act the same

Those gardening supplies slots I just havent come up with a use for yet hahaah

Will fix coal for the next update as well!

As for the depositing items, can you tell me what directions the bins are facing and which ones?

No worries, take your time!

For the produce rack, it's kind of hard to describe. I can see the hitboxes for each spot, but interacting with them is hit-and-miss no matter what direction the rack is facing. The bottom left is the most stable and I can add stuff in from any angle, the ones directly adjacent have restrictive angles or places on their hitbox I have to aim, and I haven't found a way to add produce to top row or right column no matter where I stand or aim on the hitbox. In this screenshot (for ants) you can see the 4 that I can add produce to, but from where I'm standing I could not add more pears to the top-left one. If I moved to the right and aimed at the very bottom edge of it's hitbox, I could add more pears. I can take produce out of these bins perfectly fine, however.

P1nkOblivion it was a flint head of any tool, a pickaxe for example. When you add the stick and the head in to the grid to craft the pickaxe, it wont craft. But i dont get any crash or bug report to narrow down whats causing the issue. Might be a mod conflict, but i am unable to point out which one.

Would you be willing to message me on discord, send a mod list and your server-main logs? Sounds like its probably a conflict, I had tested it a few times in a solo save and on my server an didn't have issues with either.

Blush library is my additional metals ecosystem! It adds in new metal spawns, new ways of working metals, a new glass type, etc. Definitely recommend checking it out, alongside my blush and blacksmith mod!

Crashes aside, the controls for adding / removing items from firewood holders, produce racks, bins, and gardener bags (and possibly other places, though I can't test them for crashes) feel funky as they don't match up with crate controls. You need an empty hand to draw or bulk draw out of those places, and submitting them is also right click rather than sneak + right click like with crates. Trying to bulk draw out of gardener bags also has you take the entire stockpile out at once in one giant stack. Firewood holders also seem to have a locked orientation, which limits placement.

That said, I love what the mod does, and I eagerly await what's to come next!

Katzvielle Do you have 1.21 or 1.22 version of vintage story. That error looks like a version missmatch. This mod seems to be only for 1.22+ if you running 1.21 thats probably why you get the error.
