Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.21.6, outdated):
Stirlingmotor_1.2.1.zip 1-click install
N.B. not a patch, conflicts with original mod must be downloaded seperately.
Overview
An Iron Stirling Engine that uses fuel to produce mechanical power. Add fuel to the campfire under the base; see the fuel section for stats. The top part of the block structure has an axle that outputs the mechanical power.
Fuel Stats
All Machines where connected directly into the engine without altering the speed.
Both the quern and archimedes screws where connected with a small gear due to being aligned vertically.
The archimedes values where recorded by stacking the screws until 2 RPM was reached as a stress test.
in vanilla the maximum torque generated is 37 kNm it scales with the temperature of the fuel.

I look forward to this being updated because it seems more balanced than others I've seen.
Because it has a type error, I'd be surprised if any of it loaded at all.
Detritus doesn't work on 1.22rc6 world loads but none of the items are loaded in with it.
anyone tried this on any of the 1.22 RC's?
Look at my boiler thing, it's a parlor trick, it's a goof you know! (2000 years later) What if I put coal in there?
abculatter_2 I don't do requests sorry
Compat request, could you add Real Smoke support for the engine while it's burning, including it getting smothered out if there's too much smoke?
unlikely to change anything in the future, I'm fairly happy with how this turned out, despite me wasting like 3 hours not noticing a simple error leading me to waste my entire evening on this side project. ill try to update it to 1.22 when it comes out Idk how that will work out exactly since I don't really have easy access to the code hopefully it'll go well when it comes out. anyways hope everyone using the mod enjoys it given how turbulance will work in the next update this will probably be a nice compact solution for a secondary engine without having to make the windmill super large.
Not sure if it's just because I'm in creative mode, but when I power this (with, say, charcoal) it can rotate a quern at 108rpm with 36kNm.
Is that supposed to be the case, or is it meant to be weaker than that?
edit: oddly, it does this when I place them, but reloading the world fixes it.
If you wanna avoid having the player smith the water vessel, maybe just tweak the boiler/condenser recipe a little. Just make it uses some iron plates and the soldering tools and it'll be pretty easy. It'll also give us more to do with the soldering stuff, as I can totally see making more than one of these.
@Bariof unlikely to happen sorry about that. Would need to decompile the code for that I think so not gonna do that for my first ever mod
Thank you for this, with it being copper was a bit too easy.
Great ideas all round, only thing I want to see is water consumption similar to the condenser.
Yochan its not a patch, its seperate and conflicts with the original link is included as credit
is this a patch? do i need the original mod or its completely seperate.
