Morggin I just tested this version and it seems to work perfectly fine on the latest Millwright version on VS 1.22
I've updated the compatible versions
Will this still work on Millwright 1.3.3 in VS 1.22.0?
Where are the config values for these turbines? Having trouble finding them in either ModConfig or in the mod ZIP itself.
BNE I've tested multiple configurations, but I haven't been able to reproduce the issue that you're describing, as my memory usage remains pretty stable. Discussed this with the dev of Millwright, and if this is an issue it's likely in the base game's code that I can't find by just looking at the code. If you can confirm that this issue is caused by Millwright + my addon and have a way I could reproduce this in singleplayer I can take a look again.
Fuck yes this is awesome!!
Hello, on my system this mod leads to an critical issue - at least after ending one session and loading up next time.
On my system I had a critical issue with a memory leak. Without and after removing of the Modd addon my memory usage of the game is at roughly 2,5GB (including a number of other mods and millwright).
With that mod active my memory usage was 6GB after load and was running up to 10GB until the whole system reched an instable state. (16GB ram) (incrementing around 100 kb per second).
I had only an savonious rotor with 4 sails and one of the 3 rotor wings with another 4 sails build.. There was no real issue until I saved and left and then reloading the server next time. I isolated the issue to that certain mod.
I cannot say something about a possible incompatibility with some other mod -or which one might be the problem but I think textures and meshes are a potential source.
День добрый, планируется обнавление до актуальной версии?
Helical windmills should indeed have cost parity with Millwright's default vertical sails. Despite the mod claiming it's mostly cosmetic, there'd be no reason not to use these over the normal ones.

That would be an argument you COULD bring up...If I didnt also compare these VAWT to the VAWT found in the Millwright mod...
THESE VAWT are much MUCH more cost effecient, 6.66kn per linen VS 10kn/per linen...
thats almost a 40% power to linen increase...
these windmills are too cheap to craft, THATS the problem...
either make the windmills produce less power so they are more in-line with the Millwright windmills, or make make them cost more linen AND copper to craft.
(the full wooden sails should not be as effecient as the linen sails)
Michael00181 No they aren't. VAWTs are less efficient than HAWTs, I think like 15-25% less efficient.
Xephrock It's almost as if these are real windmil types that ARE signifcantly more effecient than medieval spinny boys.
I've noticed that the balance of these sails is WACK
the official vertical costs 6 linen per segment/layer and produces 40kn of rotation per segment/layer (320kn max)
these sails cost 4 Linen, or <1 copper ingot per sail segment/layer, and ALSO produce 40kn of rotation per segment/layer (320kn max)
an 8 sail for example, costs 16 linen per segment/layer and produces 80kn per segment/layer (400kn max)
the cost/effeciency to reach max for each of the sails is...
Vanilla, 5 layers, 20 linen - 100kn = 5kn/linen
millwright 8 sail rotor, 5 layers, 80 linen - 400kn = 5kn/linen
millwright 3 sail vertical, 8 layers, 48 linen - 320kn = 6.66kn/linen
addon 3 sail vertical, 8 layers, 6 copper ingots OR 32 linen - 320kn = 53.33kn/ingot OR 10kn/linen
these sails are STUPIDLY effecient for the cost, almost double that what you get with standard millwright.
ZenithDaWuff Yep, still works on my modded world
Does this work fine on 1.21.1?
nanotect: I encountered a very weird bug while using the vertical rotor in a multiplayer server. When I broke the rotor in survival (whether it was running or not), I was immediately disconnected from the server. Upon reconnecting, the rotor remains in place. The problem is that it doesn't even generate any log. It doesn't happen in Single Player, though.
Kreggur the issue has been resolved, thanks for bringing it to my attention
I can't figure out how to make some of these pieces. The waxed linen in the recipe is in a weird configuration that I don't know how to get.
Cool!
Oh, my! That's an irresistable mod addition, no question! That's going right on my server.
Wow these are really pretty!
These look so good in action! Thanks Nanotect!
JustaKobold probably meant cosmetic as in looks different but still functions the same as the Millwright's vertical 3 sail.
Mostly cosmetic? meaning they dont generate power?
