no worries at all. it's really a small patch.

well there will be room for this to remain up until Darce updates rust and rot. since my plans with making a redux is just for the rot creatures, since base game has more rust creatures with shivers and bowtorn now.

Auxiom

it seems to be compatible with entities interact, so i imagine it's compatible with rustbound, but if it's not you can unzip it, open the mod info json in notepad and change  "ModID": "rustandrotredux", to "ModID": "rustandrot", and any incompatibilities should disapear. I made this patch before I knew anything about the file system so I didn't really understand the ramifications of changing the id.

 

if there are any bugs I can try to fix them for you so let me know.

Also, happen to know if this compatible with Rustbound like the original? It probably is, but thought I'd ask.

that's really funny I never intended to post this 😅. just trying to be helpful to someone who experienced crashes with the miasma.

Auxiom Zebrabuff

it fixes the miasma flies crash in 1.20.x game version, makes rotten armor repairable and removes the changes to drifters becuase I didn't know how else to fix the mismatched hitbox sizes.

 

I do plan on revisisting this and making an actual "redux" but just for the rot part. making tiers of rot enemies like drifters have tiers, making more rotten armors and small changes across the board. hopefully adding the cave goblins from fantasy creatures and the ampels from the neighbors with changes to make them lore friendly. (cave goblins are humans that have gone feral from their cave life that was origionally to flee the rot, ampels being the final life stage of the parasitic flies.)

 

I need to do a lot more learning about how entities work in this game to do any of this though. so it won't be for a while.
