Tule can now be used to craft some linen items (linen square and, if you have the trait, the sewing kit), albeit much less efficiently than with flax. It also retains its original use for creating thatch.
I may add it to more recipes, but I'm not interested in manually recreating every single recipe that flax twine is used in.
Please forgive my crap recoloring of vanilla assets. 😄

Markliuz Counter-suggestion: ask Zippy to fix the incompatibility in their mod instead. They specify that once reeds are converted to thatch, there's no turning back, so I think your suggestion kinda goes against the spirit of their mod. 😆
But in all seriousness, you're more than welcome to take my source code and add a recipe for thatch -> tule fibers and call it your own, but I'm not really interested in making changes to my dinky little mod for the benefit of a separate mod I'm not ever gonna use. Besides, with the multiple new sources of thatch that Zippy's mod adds, being able to convert it into tule fibers would further devalue flax even worse than this mod already does.
Hmm, a suggestion. what if thatch can be refined into tule fiber? that would do away with the incompatabilities.
Markliuz Both mods change what drops when you break tule, so in that aspect they are incompatible. I'm not sure how mod conflicts like that are resolved, but I'm guessing Zippy's would win since it would load after this one due to alphabetical order. In that case, you'd get none of the benefits of this mod since all the functionality is based on tule dropping the new item rather than thatch when harvested.
Would this work with the likes of Zippy's thatch patch? since the two were released on the same day. xD
AngryOscar I haven't tested it on anything lower than 1.20.4 but a cursory glance at the changes from 1.20.3 to 1.20.4 doesn't scream anything that should affect this type of mod, so it should work, but I can't guarantee.
