Recommended download (for Vintage Story 1.20.10 and 1.20.11 - 1.20.12):
Wilderlands Wild Meat Spoilage_1.0.0.zip
1-click install
A small patch that shortens meat spoilage timers on vanilla raw meats (poultry, red meat, bush meat, and fish).
This mod was designed with longer real-life game days in mind. If this mod is used on vanilla settings, raw meats will spoil very, very fast. This mod is not likely to be very useful outside of any server that does not have very long game days.
Designed specifically for Wilderlands servers which run 6 real-life hour game days.

Wahazar Ah. I can see how it might be taken wrong. I'll edit the description for clarity.
I see, now it does make sense. When reading description, I thought that spoilage is slower with this mod, but it is opposite.
Wahazar This mod speeds up the time it takes for raw meat to spoil. That's all it does. Adjusting the server settings to make food spoil faster makes ALL food spoil faster. On our server, we do not want all food to spoil faster, only raw meats. So I made this mod to drastically speed up the rate at which raw meat goes bad, requiring the player to process raw meat into a cooked or preserved form immediately rather than just dropping it in a container to deal with at a later time. I think default spoilage timers gives you about three full game days to handle some raw meats? That's unrealistic but necessary with the default passage of time. With longer days, we can give meat realistic spoilage timers, so I did.
I also had considered increasing day lenght, not sure why it is not popular on multiplayer servers.
However I'm not sure what is purpose of this mod. Decreasing calender speed multiplier already increase food lifetime, because, for example berries start spoil after 2 game days,
if day length is 6 hr instead of 0.8, they will be fresh for 12 h IRL (instead of 1.6).
Additionally, there are server setting for faster or slower spoilage.
Thalius Thank you
ThornWitch use: "/time calendarspeedmul [value]"
For example: /time calendarspeedmul 0.0665 gives you roughly six real life hour game days. /time calendarspeedmul 300 gives you like... 10 second game days? Good for testing things that are supposed to age over time.
How would one go about change the amount of real life hours per day.
