Latest release (for outdated Vintage Story v1.19.8):
All Sides Have Resin-v1.0.0.zip
1-click install
This mod makes resin blocks show the resin texture on all 4 sides of the log, to make it more clearly visible without adding particles or some crazy neon glow.
This is inspired by an older mod which is required to be installed on both client and server, and has been labelled as "obsolete" by the original developer.
This was made purely for some people on my server, and so I don't have to put it on the server. But if it helps you too, then that's cool.
My server is still stuck on version 1.19.8 due to the Prune command not working, so that's the version I made this for.
If this mod doesn't work for 1.20.1, feel free to reupload it with whatever changes are necessary to make it work on that version.
If you have any problems, leave a comment. I'll read them semi-regularly.

Thank you for verifying this.
Works fine on 1.20.3 on a server game (installed client-side only).
That said, it was technically incorrect for me to say it isn't maintained (though, some might argue that's semantics).
I've changed the description of the mod in accordance to this.

To answer your question: The "advantage" is that this is a standalone, client-side mod. You can install it on your client independant of the server. Taking a look at Dana's Tweaks, it seems that this needs to be installed on both the server and the client.
This means that not everybody on my server needs to install it to join the server. Only those who want it.
It's less hassle for me to set up, as I don't need to install a mod with many features just to then disable all but one.
It's also a lighter mod, which is important for a particular client who only has 8GB of RAM total in his computer.
Simply put: This mod exists to be as a convenience to those who want all sides of a resin log block to show resin, and nothing more.
The original mod does not work unless it's installed on the server too, which (in my opinion) is silly for a simple graphical mod.
"This is inspired by an older mod which no longer works nor is maintained by the original developer."
I've been using Dana's standalone mod for a year and it worked for all releases without having to be updated, including 1.20.3. It's not "maintained" because it doesn't need to be.
Resin On All Sides (from DanaCraluminum)
You don't have to use the all comprising "Dana Tweaks" mod if you don't want other stuffs. May I kindly ask what is the advantage of using your mod over "Resin On All Sides", in which way does it differ?
Thank you for verifying this for me, Wulff.
for 1.20.1 stable, it looks like it works in creative placed blocks so i reckon it should work fine for world generation.
The description talks about your "Resin On All Sides" mod. Not your various tweaks.
The purpose of this mod is not to draw attention away from Dana's work. It is simply a lighter alternative for one feature out of many.
The other mod you are talking about is still maintained
