DO NOT feed my mods to AI - if you ask, I will teach you what I know.
Once upon a time, there was a lovely little mod that let you put things on bookshelves. It was the very first mod I ever installed in Vintage Story and remains one of my favourites to this day. Unfortunately, SmeeSlug hasn't updated it in over a year now (May 2024) and a few things are now wonky.
So here I am! Bringing stuff to bookshelves in current itterations of the game and hopefully expanding on it. Why limit ourselves to bookshelves, afterall? There are normal shelves, tool racks, display cases, and vertical racks too! Some things sit funny, and that's a future-me problem. Happy shelving!
Bookshelf Backing Update (2.2.0) - bookshelf backing now matches the woodtype of the bookshelf, instead of just being black
DO NOT use Shelf Obsessed and Shelfish at the same time - These mods obviously conflict because they're doing the same thing; so you only get one, and Shelf Obsessed is the most compatible with current versions of Vintage Story.
Here's the discord link, in case of troubles or requests!

Currently not included are the watering cans, mugs/cups, bowls, teapots, sugar bowls, crocks. What do currently work are: vats (assembled and in pieces), storage vessels pieces (and potentially the complete ones, haven't tested), planters/flowerpots of all varieties, oil lamps (both clay and porcelain), and pot sherds all work! Untested are the polishing set and small bricks as well - just ran out of time today. Fix'd: Alchemy - no more weird error and all the flasks go on bookshelves again!! | |||||||

Is there any possibility of cabinet doors being placeable on bookshelves?
There is a possibility of it, same with doing fancy bookcases and such. I don't have a timeline for such things, but it's a cool idea!
The only use i have managed to come up for these in the year of our lord 2026 is putting shoes on them
I fully laughed out loud XD
My partner and I play together in the same room on 2 different computers, and we were wondering if this mod would cause any issues on an existing world that has been opened to LAN if we both have the mod installed? We would be really sad if it somehow messed up our existing world, but we'd really like to give this a try because it looks very well made.
ShelfObsessed is SUPER low tech, doesn't add any objects of its own, and only loads patches if the related mod is installed. This should be perfectly functional on LAN <3 Happy shelving!!
thanks for making my flower circlet mod compatible! how neat!
Of course!!!! They're so cute ^.^
Patiently trying to wait for an update so that Blueprints and Schematics look correct on shelves again
I know - still tryin' to figure it out <3
If anyone is training AI specifically on VS mods, they obviously aren't going to be going through one by one and reading the text and thinking about it, lol. They would just write a script that machine guns through every single mod on here automatically if so.
It's only up there because it has happened.
Vinage story v1.22. Lots of vines on that one! :)
XD
Hi! Pewter mod just got update then there is a error.
Patch 7 in shelfobsessed:patches/pewter.json: File pewter:blocktypes/clay/mold/tablewaremold.json not found
Oo, thank you for letting me know!!
Hm, is anyone else having issues with placing BetterRuins's blueprints on a shelf? I recall I used to be able to place them, and I see it listed in the compatable section as BetterRuins's "schematics" I wonder if the name was changed at some point for them?
It is possible their naming has changed again, I'll have to take another look. I made them go on bookshelves specifically though, no other kinds of shelf. They removed the ability to put them on bookshelves a while ago, which is why I did that compat. It's not as nice as theirs was, so it needs another pass one way or the other.
Yeah thats my bad, I mean bookshelves. I used to keep them in my library in the past, but seems like I cant on this save/game version.
I assume you're using 2.1.5 - I'll give it another pass, saw that Better Ruins got an update in the last 24 hours anyway. The schematics must go on bookshelves.
Oh my gosh, Your comment about the version number made me go check what one my server was running, 2.1.2 😭
Im SO sorry, let me update to the current version what is wrong with me, thats like that first step when trouble shooting bugs, what am I doing.
EDIT: yeah using the newest version they can go on bookshelves- but not the way I thought. Looking back on your comment it seems like better ruins let their blueprints fit on a shelf via their own mod, but removed that at some point. Guess thats where my confusion came from, since I knew I used to have them on bookshelves in the past and assumed it was from your mod. My bad!
I will say its a bit odd to have them laying flat on the bookshelv, makes placing multiple next to each other just clip into themselfs. Would it be possible to change it to standing on their sides like a book?
It's a thing I'm going to look into for sure, I liked it way better the way it was. The existing patch is very quick and dirty XD
It warms my heart that my silly little mod was so loved, and I am grateful that my idea is now in the hands of someone more capable of looking after it! ❤️❤️❤️
OMG ITS YOU <3 <3 <3 I'm not crying I swear. You are literally the whole reason I make mods now. Thank you so so much for your "silly little mod". Shelfish is the cornerstone of my modding experience.
That means so much, thank you 😭
yall got me crying and i aint even involved 😢
Now you're involved, get in on this tearful hug!!
Thanks for you work.
Maybe you should add the backing of shelves directly in your mod?
I'm thinking about it, honestly.
I mean it would make sense, just saying 🙄😁
shalun69 - nothing to apologize for!! That was the kind of error list that made me go "oh shit, what if something in my mod is what's gone wrong?" So I did check the whole entire thing and test it myself to recreate the errors just in case. I'm a testing fanatic though - I don't expect others to come at it quite as intensely as I do XD
@unHallowed, I apologize. I am not experiencing any issues with your most recent version.
I try to be considerent of folks time by check once then twice before reporting issues. Honestly, I thought I had! Cleary, I failed in demonstrating "due diligence."
Thank you for checking and replying.
shalun69 - running Eternal Seraph Backpacks alone causes these errors as well - it has nothing to do with ShelfObsessed. SheflObsessed doesn't touch recipes.
JimmyMac - All I'm doing is adding an attribute to assets in vanilla/mods to allow them to be placed on bookshelves. Everything else (wink wink) is prolly going to be its own mod honestly.
Do I have this right? This mod doesn't mess with the new vanilla cabinets at all. It mods all the bookshelves and makes them better cabinets? And that's super awesome. Sounds like all that's left to add is the cabinet doors working on bookshelves ::wink wink::
shalun69 - WOW thats a big one, thank you for letting me know!! I'm working on a fix
v2.1.1 conflicts with Eternal Seraph Backpacks. I reverted back to v2.1.0 and no further errors.
https://mods.vintagestory.at/esbackpacks
See P1nkOblivion from two days ago. Errors are in a spoiler.
BOOM - the "great overhaul" is complete. We have been whittled down to only 23 mods that still work today, which I'm sure will be brought back up real fast.
Some things on my list of things to put on shelves - things we use to have, but need to be totally redone;
Some things to give a second pass to:
And some new things (if they're still working in 1.22):
Additionally, I'll be doing another sweep of vanilla objects, since it seems like there should be a number of new things kicking around in there (hopefully). And, eventually, I will be adding the new shelving compatibility to mod items as well. THERE, now you all know what I know. Bring on the requests ^.^
yeah.
i removed all of those things completely from Primitive Survival
In case it would help, this is what i get with Shelf Obsessed 2.0.0 and Primitive Survival 5.0.5 on 1.22.0:
26.4.2026 00:01:41 [Server Error] Patch 1 in shelfobsessed:patches/primitive survival.json: File primitivesurvival:blocktypes/relic/statue/cthulu.json not found

26.4.2026 00:01:41 [Server Error] Patch 7 in shelfobsessed:patches/primitive survival.json: File primitivesurvival:blocktypes/relic/temporallectern.json not found
werdan - oh I VERY much do, but as the only thing we're doing here is patching an existing behaviour into assets that don't have it - it works as it currently is in 1.22 stable worlds. I'm using it already :)
It's just going to take a long time to work though that crazy mod compatiility list to confirm additions, and it does lean on the related mods being brought into 1.22 as well. Work in progress though!!
Hey,
Do u have any plan on updating the mod for 1.22 build ?
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this mod
Jadesy - thank you!! Looks like Primitive Survival has moved/changed some things so I'll have to do an update for it. I am going to wait for 1.22 stable to drop still, so for the time being you are best off to simply delete the Primitive Survival file out of ShelfObsessed. I've got Primitive Survival on my list of what to check first when the drop happens tho!!
Hello. Thank you for the hard work in this mod. I'm crafting a 1.22.0-rc.7 server. I have installed Shelf Obsessed and Primitive Survival (recently updated for 1.22). I am getting these errors for patches between the 2 mods. I hope this screenshot is helpful. https://imgur.com/a/UUu67eX
Cakess - I'm intensely flattered XD SHELVING IS LIFE
Politehnik - thank you for doing some unintentional legwork for me there - it is on my list!!
I came here to say that I am a shameless shelf obsessed slut who will whore for anything storage related. Thank you for coming to my ted talk
I can confirm the problem with Bricklayers. I changed my old clay crooks to the porcelain ones and got an unfortunate surprise of them not being placeable on my shelves lol.
MegaGamer265 - guess it's going back on the list to fix then!! Thanks for letting me know!
unHallowed mod version 1.9.5 and game 1.21.6
MegaGamer265 - which version are you using of the mod and the game?
Bricklayer items dont seem to work.
unHallowed yay thanks !
Majestik - yes!!
Great mod that i use in every playthrough ! I wonder if you would consider adding compatibility for Make Tea Forked?
MegaGamer265 - oooo, also a good idea!
unHallowed would also be cool if we were able to place the small cauldrons in the bookshelf sicne they are shelvable and have pretty much the same size as normal pots.
MegaGamer265 - only removed seeds as part of code changes with 1.22 pre-release code changes, they'll be back! But good note about the rollingpins! I'll add them to my list.
Also would be cool to have rollingpins from a culinary artillery being able to be placed on shelves.
Would be cool to place seeds on shelves.
DeterminedBun - I'll add it to my list!!
Could you add Aldi's Classes compatability? I can't seem to put the Deeper Bowls on the shelves :(
GOOD NEWS ALL - with 1.22-pre.1, Shelf Obsessed remains relevant. Those new fancy cabinets we've all seen are a separate thing from bookshelves, and 90% of Shelf Obsessed's current function is with bookshelves. This could, of course, still change by the time the first stable release happens - but for the time being! Mod patches have been updated to stop crazy errors on start-up, tree seeds have been removed for now till I have more time to really comb through the vanilla assets again to fix them and add whatever new stuff exists.
Happy shelving, my darlings!!
Perfect!
Personally, I'd love to see more kinds of bookshelf blocks. There are a bunch in the game that exist seemingly as just decoration for story locations and ruins. Curved/diagonal corner bookshelves, bookshelves that take up a whole block so show things on the exterior face not inner half, the same but without middle separation (think classic library scene where characters see eachother through bookshelf rows...), so on. I'm sure I'll come up with more later :)
And yes, I just got those windows mods, hahah. Only wish they also affected those windows found in Kevins Furniture.
Janeator - A justifiable concern, my love. I won't see how the code has changed till 1.22 drops, obviously, but I do predict that ShelfObsessed might not be compatible with it out of the box. I don't really have a timeline for how long it'll take me to learn the new bookshelving code either - BUT IT WILL HAPPEN. Mostly because I'm obsessed with putting stuff on bookshelves.
More shelving/bookshelving blocks were always on my list of things to figure out :) Would LOVE to do floating ledges and vanilla-matching bookcase toppers, as a couple examples. Calminaion already did shelving for window sills (I adore them, go look at Window Storage and Vanilla Pane Storage). The limitation is modelling, for me - but in time that will be overcome too. ^.^ If you have shelving ideas, I would love to hear them.
That's good to hear then! I was mostly worried about the mod causing conflicts with the new game systems.
Is it possible that you would look into adding more types of shelves as well?
Janeator - I intend to learn the new version of coding stuff to go on shelves, and then continuing to put stuff on shelves! I will adapt and continue :) I'm certain there will always be stuff I can add to bookshelves, or displaycases, or normal shelves. I'm even thinking of branching into verticle racks and scroll racks!
Unlikely I will do more than maintainence until 1.22 drops though. Save the brain space for that hawt new shelving code (I'm genuinely so excited about it, it looks so good!!!)
What is the plan once the next game update hits with its shelf changes?
Sir_Pattrick - the good news is that Calminaion has already done an update on the window storage mod that fixes this problem!
unHallowed we are using the window storage mod, and cannot seem to get the flasks to go on shelves. We do not have the Vanilla Pane Storage mod installed. We are using the most up to date version of both the Alchemy Mod(V1.8.2) and Shelf Obsessed (V1.9.5)
Hexellent - MAXIMUM CLUTTER
Pants_Bandit I have fixed the issue with the Window Storage/Vanilla Pane Storage and Alchemy. They added attributes to the flasks in new version of Alchemy, I had a patch in my mods that added it so I could use transforms and that caused a conflict, have removed that from my patch now
James42785 - just did a test of shelf obsessed (v1.9.5) with figurines (v0.2.5) and they do work on bookshelves. Older versions of shelf obsessed will not apply to recent versions of figurines. The current version of shelf obsessed will not work for older versions of figurines either. Can you check your versions of each mod?
I'm not able to place figurines from the figurines mod on bookshelves, only regular shelves. Any mod conflicts causing this?
Pants_Bandit - oh no, I just discovered an incompatibility problem. Are you, by chance using either Window Storage or Vanilla Pane Storage? I just added them to my game and I couldn't put anything on bookshelves anymore if it also was added to those mods. I'm looking for a workaround now, because you OBVIOUSLY should be able to use all three at the same time for optimal house-cluttering.
Pants_Bandit - I haven't done any compat. for Alchemistry, so that could be a factor. The other thing is that the update for alchemy that I've done is for the latest version of that mod, so the old compat won't work anymore. If you're using objects from before the latest update, those won't work anymore either (did encounter that in updating one of my worlds).
@unHallowed, my apologies but I'm a little dumb, yes it was the food shelves, but it also didn't work on bookshelves either when I got desperate tried. I found out when I downgraded back to alchemy 1.7.23 it worked fine, but it was most likely an issue between Alchemistry and Alchemy because I am using that for my play through.
Pants_Bandit - what version of alchemy are you using, out of curiosity. The update I did is for the latest version and it worked when I tested it. Also, when you say "shelves" - do you mean the Food Shelves shelves, or vanilla book shelves? Cuz I only add them to the vanilla book shelves.
I still cant put alchemy potions on shelves?
litesalt - apparently I hadn't touched bricklayers at all yet XD Posted the first pass at it though!!
kingslycamben - the alchemy patch is fixed!!
kingslycamben - ooo, yep - thank you for reporting!! I'll fix it.
Got an error related to the flasks from alchemy, I presume its related to this mod cause its mentioned.

litesalt - Bricklayers is on my list for another pass, yes!!
Love this mod! Wondering if you are intending on adding some of the Bricklayers stuff to be placeable on shelves? Mainly the vats - got real excited earlier to slot them into my new vertical bookshelves only to find they weren't compatible
JustaKobold - I believe "Display Case Versatility" handles blueprints? But I'll throw it on my list too for good measure :)
I noticed a blue print from one of the firearms mods didnt go on a shelf. it as either the main firearm mod or the extra firearm mod.
Three more mods added to the list of stuff you can put on bookshelves!!
llama3013 - omg so good to hear about this!! I'll update the patch with that, thank you so much!!
Hi, I'm the alchemy mod author and I have changed alot of the alchemy mod in the latest test releases of alchemy but it seems I accidentally broke the ability to add large alchemy flasks to bookshelves using this mod. I believe if you replace or add the large flask with this it should work but I haven't tested it.
Nobdoy freak out, but windowsill storage is now a thing!!!
Window Storage - Vintage Story Mod DB
ALTEFFFOUR - window sills with spaces to place objects would be AMAZING, but definitely more complex than I have the skills for currently. It IS on my list of things I'd like to figure out how to do though. Same with somehow making it so you can place objects on top of bookcases as well.
I wonder if it would be possible to add window sills to the mod. Like even in your own screenshots, you can see the windows bisect the block neatly, and there's plenty of room on the block beneath it for something like a bottle or oil lamp. I'd put an oil lamp in my window (:
SpookyJ - added them to my list! Some or all of that might be covered by Display Container Versatility, and it's a great companion to Shelf Obsessed.
Can you add the following to shelves if possible?
thanks
Mirok - No, they're turn into "?" blocks - thats what happens when you remove a mod regardless of putting them on bookshelves.
What happens if I delete a mod from the world, will the items on the shelves disappear?
PrinceShuu - Yes!! I take all suggestions/requests into consideration when I go on a spree of coding. I will put Primitive Survival on the list :) You're welcome to join either of my lil mod pages to make suggestions, or just make them here - I'll see them either way <3 Only difference is I'll see messages on Discord faster is all, but I check my mod pages every few days.
First, THANK YOU for making this mod for the newer versions. I cannot play without being able to decorate all the little things like this.
Is there a way to suggest compatibility mods? I'd like to put the idols/relics from Primitive Survival on shelves. You already have figurines, so THANK YOU. (I need to worship Dave)
If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.
Lumvik omg <3 <3 <3
And if you have other mods where there is stuff you want to put on bookshelves/shelves/displaycases, but can't - tell me! I'll at least try to figure it out XD (not having much luck with rustbound magic sadly)
Thank you for adding compatibility with my backpack mod!
We've been using your mod on our server for a long time - it's a great one.
Calminaion - Fixed the language I used ^.^ Want to be accurate as I can be, especially when I heckin' adore your mods so much
Awww, that's really sweet of you to say. Thank you so much 😊 Btw I have changed the sizes of the boxes so should fit better on the Bookshelves and added a link to your mod on each of mine.
Will say the Bookend boxes aren't blindboxes as I wanted them to be sold at the trader as a set and gave them specific names. Thank you once again for adding support for my mods.
That was a lot of updating in a row, BUT I KEPT FINDING CUTE LITTLE MODS WITH STUFF THAT HAD TO GO ON BOOKSHELVES! Relatedly, I adore you Calminaion <3
Calminaion I seriously adore these things. They are so heckin' cute.
Thanks for adding the chess pieces and for the kind words, might have to quote that on the modpage :)
FANTASTIC thank u very much
Tassa - it does!!
Does this mod work with Display Container Versitility?
Calminaion - they are officially the absolute cutest thing to put on bookshelves, I love them so so much <3
Thank you for adding my Figurines mod to this. I'll add a link to your mod on my page 😊
Deleted 1.6.1 to prevent it's use as much as possible, seeing as it is basically game-breaking levels of bad XD
1.6.2. resolved issues with Tools Animations. Mods indeed have their caprices. Thanks for your work and a have a good day!
Faeldray
Yeah, suffice to say that my 1.6.1 typo heckin broke EVERYTHING, which is wild. Coding is great.
Chubz
You are the whole reason I even started looking into the problem, you were a great help <3
LastXsile
That makes sense - v1.6.1 is breaks everything it touches because of a typo in it. Update to 1.6.2, that's fixed the problem.
This mod broke serveral other mods somehow carryon butchering and other stuff not sure why ive used it fine before removing it for now though. Makes no sense how its effecting them but it is for w/e reason. Specific 1.6.1 was breaking it i haven't tried 1.6.2 yet as players are active on the server.
unHallowed I actually got the crash many times because I was trying to figure out what mod Rustbound Magic was conflicting with, as it was loading fine on its own. But that's a fair question to ask, especially when you can't replicate the error yourself!
I updated to 1.6.2 and that actually fixed the issue so maybe the syntax error was the problem? I did notice some other errors/warnings in the server-main.log that weren't causing the crash but are present when 1.6.1 was used.

I've only made content mods before so I'm not very familar with the error system but looks like 1.6.1 broke the patch loader and so that was causing RBM to crash? Or RBM is sensitive to patch loader errors? I'm sure someone who knows more than me has a better understanding lol
I'll let the RBM dev know that it seems to be fixed now though
unHallowed
yep, glad i could help (inderectly? thought it was CO problem...) had to leave, so only can answer now :)
Ryilo
Omg I should have refreshed the page before updating you XD Good!! Yeah, it was a pretty glaring syntax error. I shouldn't code when my brain is mush ^.^"
Ryilo Chubz
Just ran ShelfObsessed(1.6.2) and OneRoof(1.11.0) on a fresh world and that didn't replicate the problem. So I ran a fresh world with just OneRoof(1.11.0), built with it a bit, then restarted the game and added ShelfObsessed(1.6.2) - this also didn't replicate the problem.
So either updating to ShelfObsessed 1.6.2 is going to fix the issue, or I need even more info about the problem. What kind of roofing blocks were they, as an example? I'd have to guess clay, since clay is what was messed with in that syntax error I just went and corrected - but if it's not clay then something else has to be interacting weird. Maybe a third mod being added to the mix?
unHallowed with 1.6.2 the one-roof problem seems gone, they're all as they should be. :D
Ryilo
Thank you!! I'll go look at One Roof now, but just to confirm, you're using 1.6.1 of Shelf Obsessed? I just dropped an update (1.6.2) to fix a syntax error with clay bricks and that MIGHT be related.
unHallowed I had the same problem as Chubz and it made all the blocks from one-roof appear as ? blocks. Unselecting your mod then made all the roofs disappear. Luckily I made a backup of my save. The logs say:
30.8.2025 11:48:26 [Error] [game] An exception was thrown when trying to start the mod:30.8.2025 11:48:26 [Error] [game] Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Chubz
Any chance you can give me some more context? I'm afraid that's not enough information for me to figure out what's not working.
Faeldray
That's definitely a problem in Rustbound Magic. Shelf Obsessed doesn't add or remove items that stack. All it does is adds attributes to item code - specifically "bookshelveable", and sometimes "shelveable"/"displaycaseable". I went and had a look at the Rustbound mod page and it looks like they've been having a lot of issues since the update to 1.21, so you've done the best thing already by reporting the issue to them! I'm sure it's on their list of things to figure out :)
As an aside, however, I actually haven't been able to recreate that crash while having the same mod-load as yours. Tried simply changing the mod-load on an existing world, and running up a new one - no crash. This might sound rude to ask, but I'm just genuinely curious - how many times did you get that crash?
rampage_
Well that is heckin' odd. Like I said above, I touch literally zero things to do with animations. I went and compared the patches in Shelf Obsessed and Tool Animations, and we actually don't even edit the same objects. I did a test run of just those two mods together and they both work exactly how they're suppose to as well. Do you possibly have a related error in the logs somewhere that I could read?
Dirty_Shisno
I'm so glad to hear it!! And we're gonna add even more mod compatibility. Just need to make up my mind on where to actually start :)
Holy moly, that's a lot of problems - and I didn't change much of anything. Lemme get to testing, time to figure out what's happening!
There is strange incompatibility between 1.6.1 of your mod and Tools Animations at VS 1.21.0. After updating Shelf Obsessed, the tool animation doesn't work, they revert to vanilla.
She1fish was such an essential mod for me prior to the updates making it Janked out. This has restored my shelf obsession. Thank you so much.
Some conflict between this mod (v1.6.1) and Rustbound Magic causes me to crash to desktop when I create a new world (just after the character creation window appears). I also reported this to the Rustbound Magic dev.

Latest version broke vanilla json patcher for me
Updated to 1.21, only lost fired clay bricks and artisan flowerpots/planters - and only till I figure out where those assets went :)
I am testing what currently exists in the mod with 1.21 - time to see what survived XD
Ofc! I'm slowly plucking away at compatibilty with mods, as they occur to me. So if there are requests, let me know!! I'll stick them on the list ^.^
Is it a chance to have compatibility with "Rustbound Magic" some day?
Would be great to palce all the materials on shelfs...
Great mod 10/10
Thanks!!!
This mod should be part of the game rather than just a mod. I hope the developers use it in a future game update. 10/10
I can only hope so!!
New release adds things from Wool&More, Tailor's Delight, Soap and Lye, and Geodes and Gemstones TO BOOKSHELVES ^.^ So go put more things on shelves.
That is so lovely. I can guarantee it will be vanilla in like 2 years.
HopeAmongStars
There's actually no reason why the mod shouldn't work on any 1.20 variant of VS, I just only have been testing it on .11 and .12 as I update my client whenever I'm given the opportunity. There are no language changes in the files between 1.20.10 and 1.20.11-.12. Try running it on a separate world than your main first to be safe, but you should just be able to plug and play :)
Hi, I'm excited to see a shelf mod that isn't outdated. The problem is we play 1.20.10 as seems to be most stable for some of our older mods. If it's not to much trouble could we get a 1.20.10 version? If not thank you still for making this!
Omg I love it! ^.^ Thanks for sharing Xozkov
Here's a test I did with this mod and Display Container Versatility. They're a perfect combo imo
Emblazing - No no, love - thank you for writing and sharing it ^.^
unHallowed Thanks so much for adding that!
Emblazing - omg ABSOLUTELY!!!!
I'd like to make this mod compatible with my own mod Tankards and Goblets.
I figured it was easier to add the compatibility into Shelf Obsessed, so I've made a quick .json which can be found here.
unHallowed If you could please add it in the next version update, that'd be much appreciated. Thanks!
Janeator
That would be because the Shelf Obsessed and Shelfish provide conflicting instructions, I'd imagine. Good point though, I should have an incompatibility note on this page!!
And I'm troubleshooting the fancy clutter next :) So hopefully, skulls on bookshelves soon!!
Maybe this seems obvious but this doesn't want to run serverside (will not register as installed mod at all, maybe even delete itself) if Shelfish is installed.
Also, please let me shelf skulls!
That's actually my work in progress, _ZiN_ . Just adding a bookshelvable trait did a lot of weird things, but not appearing on shelves - so I'm fiddling XD
You should add tree seeds. I'd love to have an acorn (oak seed) next to some of my other bits and bobs.
You are a gift and a treasure. Thank you for resurecting this functionality.
This looks so good!
I LOVE the Display Container Versatility mod!! In theory, it and Shelf Obsessed are compatible - there are only 8 item classes overlapping for bookcases that I can see on their list. I've left all the item classes as separate files in my mod so if there's a problem you can simply delete the files from Shelf Obsessed.
For those here, you may also like the mod 'Display Container Versatility'. I'm not affiliated but it's a great mod.
https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/23682
Thank you for continuing this lovely mod. My shells have been so sad on the floor
Hallelujah! Im so glad theres a new mod for this! Old one was broken.
Yey! Can't wait to try it! I'm still using that wonky mod!
I was just talking about the old shelf mod in the discord so happy to see this here!!!!!!!!!! Also one of my favorite mods.
So excited to have this functionality back! Thank you!
Great work, I'll try it out and report back
