I hate drifters, you hate drifters, we all hate drifters. Giving them the ability to throw light-speed, laser-precision homing rocks is like giving Minecraft zombies a shotgun. It's pointless and annoying, and certainly a relic of a past where only drifters existed. Newsflash, there are other monsters now. We have a dedicated ranged monster now. It's time to stop. So I made them stop - I removed* their ability to throw rocks.

* not actually removed, just reasonably nerfed.

But dude, I hear you ask, what about the other million mods out there removing drifter's ability to throw rocks? What does this one do differently?
Good question. This mod requires JSONPatchesLib to function, because the features of that library are truly powerful and should be the base game's standard for modding. Using this powerful library, I created

• A lightweight smart patch that tries its best to find the respective behavior node, no matter how many other mods mess with drifter behavior already - and potentially compatible with future versions of the game, unless they greatly change things.
• Simply editing the cooldown and priority of the "throwatentity" behavior to make it the least likely thing to happen in the universe, and essentially guarantee only one rock per drifter, for life. No deletions happening, therefor not breaking other mods not using JSONPatchesLib for smart patching.
• The quirk that on the very occasional off-chance the drifter's AI has virtually nothing better to do and still chooses to throw it's singular rock - could be considered a balancing feature! Getting way closer to the wiki-promised alternate universe where drifters only throw rocks when they "can't reach you". Not "every 5 steps while chasing you down because of pathfinding quirks."

If that sounds enticing to you, maybe this mod is for you. If not, there are a dozen others out there trying to tackle this issue, maybe one of them suits you better. I was just forced to publish this so my friends can add it to their server.
