Overview

Everywhere you go is temporally unstable. No exceptions.

Question: Does this make the game easier?
sigh

Some sick son of a bowtorn might want this mod. I certainly don't, so I'm leaving it here.

Thanks I hate it

Man, someone should make a mod that does something akin to this but its more like the Rot finally returned and basically the surface is hella infected with spores and you can only stay up there for a short period before having to retreat inside a sealed structure or underground

another horrendous but probably actually playable version of this would be the world being temporally neutral at best, it doesnt rise, nor does it fall unless its being dragged down by game instability

SpearAndFang Thanks, I appreciate that

Done - I've uploaded the source to github, added a highly permissive license, and added a "Source" button at the top of this page so you can easily find it.

It's basically just the temporalstabilityModSystem.cs file, so like 50 lines of code.  Enjoy!

Ricksdetrix, Dec 4th 2025 at 2:23 PM

SpearAndFang if that's okay with you, yes please!

Sorry I'm not doing anything else with this mod, but if you would like to work on it I can hand the source code over to you.  It's pretty basic.

Is there any chance we could have a config to change how quickly stability goes down? Currently it seems like it's the max so it goes down faster than anything can 'heal' it back up

Ricksdetrix, Nov 26th 2025 at 12:01 PM

For anyone curious, this might pair well with temporality plus. Gonna test it

Emperor_Q, Oct 8th 2025 at 1:19 AM

Rex87 I think the point of low temporal stability damaging the player is so they can't just hide away. You regain temporal stability by killing enemies IIRC, though the noise is a pain (ha).

Rex87, Oct 8th 2025 at 12:59 AM

make the mod to not deal any passive damage, or separate addon that would be even better because temporal stability damage doesn't make sense for me in normal playthrough, it's the enemies that should deal damage to you because this is when they start spawning, also hurt noises are so loud so yeah, that would be nice if you can do something like that.

Great challenge run mod, I might have to try this.

Danjio, Sep 10th 2025 at 12:06 PM

Would be neat if you could add a config file to it to adjust for the max stability you could have

Roughgalaxy, Aug 21st 2025 at 6:32 PM

This could be really interesting if there was a way to mitigate the constant damage. Probably give you a headache after a while though lol.

This mod sounds like a fun challenge to poke around xD

Making a modpack with a mod that drops drifter loot at once and a mod that boosts temporal gear loot drops by a lot would make this challenge playthrough more or less viable cause you'd have a loop of killing drifters to gather a bunch of temporals, and then doing normal stuff by constantly inhaling temporal dust to keep yourself sane xD

El_Neuman, Aug 16th 2025 at 9:43 PM

Sound's like a good challenge))

Saytromi, Aug 10th 2025 at 10:58 AM

Oh my god, this is hell...

FINALLY, I'M COMING HOME, SATAN!!!

Ashleyyy33, Aug 9th 2025 at 6:58 PM (modified Aug 9th 2025 at 6:58 PM)

this would make for a (not so) fun challenge run, saving for later
