For all intense purposes I would like to state that:
-I am in no right a modder, i only know a lit of coding
-At no point am i saying this is perfect, expect bugs as with how mods usually go
-This is NOT my original work but a Modified version of Reduced Monster Spawn - Vintage Story Mod DB
-If the orginal creator (SteelNorthman) wishes, I WILL TAKE THIS DOWN
-Should not be installed with his mod incase of conflict between the 2, just in case
-It adds nothing new, but changes spawns of drifters
-ANy feedback is taken generously. Seriously anything wrong and let me know
Now then lets get to it. What is this mod? It is a modified version of SteelNorthman's mod that was butchered and put together worse then Frankenstein and made available to anyone who feels like the drifter population needs to disappear. All it does is patch the spawn chances for drifters, bells, bowtorn, and with my addition locusts. As of this post I have tested it and not had a single [insert what nasty word you want to call them] spawn even with BetterRuins, which I would like to point out even with the original it still cause them to spawn.
Steps to remove spawns:
-Install the mod obviously ;)
-Make a new world(to have the best effect)
-go to the Temporal Stabilty tab
-Set these to off:
-Temporal Stability
-Temporal Storms
-Temporal Rifts
If there are any issues, feel free to contact me. I'll help to the best of my ability.

I will be drafting the mod untill i can figure out what is going on. thank you for letting me know this.
RED8cted I created a new world and turned off temp stability, storms and rifts, but I encountered drifters again as soon as I went into a cave in my first night. I thought maybe it's a language issue since I played on a translated version, so I tried another world and went right into a cave as soon as I made a torch. Encountered bronze locusts again and figured there'd probably be everything else, too.. verified that pretty much immediately afterwards with these ribcage-creature thingies.. no idea what they're called. Unfortunately the mod doesn't seem to work for me, but I don't have any idea why. Any other ideas maybe..?
RED8cted Thanks for your reply! I did change some settings. I'm on exploration mode with mobs turned to passive to begin with. Temporal stability is off, storms are off, but I think I set rifts to invisible instead of off. That might be the culprit. I didn't think there was a difference there with temporal stability off and this mod active (since I figured.. spawn set to 0, that should take care of that). But that might explain it.
I'll start fresh later with a new world then and turn the grace period off, then I should have quicker results that time around. If I encounter anything again despite a new world and the settings you recommended, I'll let you know! Thanks for helping me figure this out. Fingers crossed I get it right this time around :)
CodeKittenKate Do you have vanilla settings? Meaning everything under the temporal stability settings when you are making the world. If so Then unfortunately they will spawn during the temporal storms. But for surface drifters, I have not had them spawn yet. As there might be something wrong, I will go back and figure out what when wrong. Also yes I forget to mention that the temporal stability settings should be turned off when making the world. I will be editing the description to ensure others do not have this issue.
Not sure if I did something wrong, but I installed this, made a new world and after the grace period, I've started to encounter drifters on the surface just now.
I'm new to the game, so I'm not sure if I did something wrong? Were there prerequisites for the mod? I installed it via one-click, in case that's relevant. I also encountered locusts in some cave during the grace period, but I thought maybe they're not covered in this because they aren't corrupted? Is there a way for me to fix this and keep the world?
SteelNorthman thank you for being cool with this.
Ikaahi unfortunatly i am not sure. all i did was set the spawn chances for the entities to zero.
Perfectly fine by me.👍
Is it okay to use this alongside entities configuration? I use entities config right now but it only handles drifters and locusts, none of the new ones.
Just wish to say sorry to anyone who had issue with this. It was my bad for not realizing the mod was setup wrong. It should be fixed.
