   This mod adds all types of tools available in the game, including materials that were not previously used for this purpose.

Update 1.2.1: The new version includes compatibility with Combat Overhaul, as well as minor changes to crafting. This and previous versions are compatible with versions 1.20.4, 1.20.5, 1.20.6.

  • Shield ( including copper variants )

  • Spear ( only 1-2 metal tier )

  • Nails
  • Anvil ( including gold and silver variants )

Other:

   

   I also added ornate electrum variants for arrows and spear. Arrows can be crafted or bought from a luxury merchant but the spear can only be bought from the same merchant.

   All item stats were set mostly randomly, since they are not specified in the game, but I still had an idea of ​​how it should look balanced (Note: When creating stats, somewhere I relied on real life and somewhere on balance).

   PS: I made this mod primarily for my friend, who constantly complained about the illogicality in various aspects of the game, including the lack of crafts from the above materials + I did not find a similar mod, so I had to make it myself, but if it exists, then let me know. \😋/

   I am not responsible for the functionality of the mod when using other modifications. The mod itself and its use together with Сombat Overhaul is completely stable and does not cause errors. Adding more modifications may cause errors or even crashes, be careful!

Важно:

   Я также добавил роскошные варианты из электрума для стрел и копья. Стрелы можно как скрафтить, так и купить у торговца роскошью, а вот копьё только купить у того же торговца.

   Все статы предметов устанавливались по большей части рандомно, так как в игре они не указываются, но всё же я имел представление как это должно балансно выглядеть. (Заметка: при создании статов где-то я опирался на реальную жизнь, а где-то на баланс).

   PS: я сделал этот мод в первую очередь для своего друга, который постоянно жаловался на нелогичность в разных аспектах игры, в том числе и на отсутствие крафтов из вышеприведённых материалов + я не нашёл аналогичного мода, поэтому пришлось сделать его самостоятельно, но если же он есть, то дайте мне знать. \🤯/

  Я не отвечаю за работоспособность мода с использованием других модификаций. Сам мод и его использование вместе с Combat Overhaul послностью стабильно и не вызывает ошибок. Добавление большего количества модификаций может вызать ошибки или даже сбои, будьте внимательны!

The new version includes compatibility with combat overhaul, as well as minor changes to crafting. This and previous versions are compatible with versions 1.20.4, 1.20.5, 1.20.6.

Anvils:

  • The texture of the black bronze anvil has been changed to a more suitable one (in vanilla it had the texture of a metal sheet).
  • A bug with processing a copper anvil using chisels has been fixed (all chisels were displayed in the craft, although chisels with a durability lower than that of copper could not be used to process a copper anvil).

Tools:

  • Added compatibility of falxes, spears and arrows with the combat overhaul mod (spears made of nickel and cupronickel were added exclusively for Combat Overhaul).
  • Meteorite plate and meteorite nails can now be smelted into an ingot (in vanilla this feature is disabled).
  • Electrum, nickel and cupronickel plates are now smelted correctly (in vanilla 20 plates were smelted into 2 ingots, and now 1 plate into 2 ingots).
  • Items of the "workitem" type made of molybdochalk, electrum, nickel and cupronickel now display the melting temperature and smelting into 1 ingot when smelted, and "workitem" made of nickel and cupronickel now require a level 3 anvil.
  • "game:item-workitem-blistersteel" has been translated (I did this for myself, since the lack of translation in crafting is annoying).

The new version mainly includes small rebalancing and texture changes. This and previous versions work on version 1.20.4 and 1.20.5.

Changes:

Anvils:

1) Changed textures of all anvils to more suitable ones (not the final result).
2) Nickel and cupronickel anvils are now created only by pouring into a mold, since vanilla coal allows you to smelt these materials in a crucible (it follows that parts of these anvils were removed).
3) You can now create a steel anvil (although at the moment it is useless).

Tools:

1) Changed stats of all tools (damage, block breaking speed) for more enjoyable and variable gameplay.
2) Now steel plates and steel nails can be smelted into ingots (this feature was disabled in the game).
3) Now nickel and cupronickel ingots require level 3 anvils to work on par with meteorite iron.

it is very good and I know it took a lot of hard work. 

there are still a few bugs like the cupronickle pick not having a tool tier.

The mod has armor components for each metal like chain, scales and lamellae yet do not have recipes/craftable variants of their respective set. I take it that this is a WIP feature?

Also, will further Combat Overhaul compatibility arrive in the future?

Besides these two inquiries, I have nothing much else to say. This mod is great.

Zinn It's too bad that it happened this way. I don't have my own server and can't check anything. The only thing I can say is try removing the lines "RequiredOnClient": true and "RequiredOnServer": true in the modinfo.json file, if you haven't done that. I can't help you any more, sorry. 😢

I'm having an issue trying to install your mod on a server, no matter what I do it just auto fails to install. I've tried repacking it, adjusting the mod id to not have capital letters, etc. the oddest thing though is that it installs just fine on my pc. Any thoughts or guidance you could offer would be appreciated, would love to show my server how handy your mod is

TakeoTheWolf I'm glad you're interested in the mod and follow the updates, it's very important to me! 😊 I'll answer the questions in order: 1) It's strange, but I don't change the mod ID (it seems that it can't be changed, it's registered automatically) 2) I play almost on the vanilla version with a minimum number of mods and I don't play with the swords mod, but I would like to see what can be done to add compatibility, but I'll most likely do it next week, since I plan to relax with my family on the weekend :) . are you changing your mod ID when you update the mod? for whatever reason mods updater does not like to download your updates automatically. I don't mind this it's just odd.

but I am glad for updates.

 

question, do you use the swordz mod? I prefer it to combat overhuals armory. just wondering if you do becuase I understand this is a mod you made for yourself, it would be unreasonable to ask you to go out of your way for a feature you would not use yourself (though that's also true of any mod really).

RachelTGG Everything seems to work, but there are problems with falxes and arrows (an error with crafts appears and there are no new variations in the game). Otherwise, everything works without crashes. Soon I will look at how to add compatibility...

I was using 1.20.4 now I am using 1.20.5 with the same issue, nothing crashes it just warns me about the axehead on starting the game don't know exactly what is the issue.

Willownezz this is very strange 🤔. I can't say anything about it. Maybe you are using a version lower than 1.20.4 or using some other mods that change axehead.json. In any case, I will be glad if you send here a file with a list of mods (if you use them) and the game version ^). And about the issue tracker, I don't see the need for it, this is not some big and well-developed mod. Thanks for the feedback!❤️

Would be awesome if something like this was added to the main game, i wanna make useless tools out of unsuitable materials just cuz it'd be fun. Having a gold pickaxe that breaks in 2 hits would be awesome lol.

mandatory install. even though a lead or zinc tool sounds totally useless in real life 😂.

can you do anvils too though? a cupronickel anvil would be quite useful to me in my survival world where I have a great excess of that stuff.
