0.0.1 UPDATE NOTES: Adds a larger variety of fog intensity scenarios to weather. The most intense Silent Hill style fog scenarios will be quite rare, while the milder fog will be more common.

This mod adds a variety of new foggy weather events to spice up the atmosphere.

NOTE: I've been trying to get this mod change the world's baseline Normal Fog Level but will probably have to do that via legitimate code instead of json. In the meantime you can adjust your world's Normal Fog Level by going into Creative Mode, hitting ~ to bring up the Ambient Editor, and on the right under "Normal Fog Level" I recommend setting it to 4. This is the baseline fog level I will likely add if I ever figure out how to code it properly.

Increases ambient fog for extra atmosphere.

Density can be adjusted by opening assets/games/patches/morefogplease.json and raising or lowering all the values equally.

Could you add a video of the fog scenarios, specially the silent hill? i like the idea of more fog, but have no idea how it will looks in game.

Does it need to be installed on the server too for it to work?

Yes, it alters the weather conditions to have more fog in them. I probably need to add that to the modinfo.json.

I took before and after comparison photos and saw that nothing changed. Does this mod add fog in all times or just increase the chance of fog to appear?

It works but it's not super consistent yet due to the game seeming to forget the weather conditions and not reverting to what I've added, I'm working on a newer build with a higher range of foggy scenarios. I'm going to look into changing the base line fog levels but that will likely take some code. You can set it yourself by going into Creative Mode, pressing ~, and selecting the Normal Fog Level on the right and setting it to about 4. You may also need to set the Red Fog to 201, Green Fog to 211, and Blue Fog to 219, because 1.22.3 seems to forget them sometimes. Hopefully I can get it programmed to just do this by default.

Does the fog still creep into your buildings? 👀

Yes, the weather should behave identically, the only difference being that there is now a minimum fog density that the fog will not drop below. The maximum fog levels were not touched, just the lowest levels. Should be purely aesthetic.

It was always awesome to see non-rain related fog in this game, considering it was such a rare event in all of my runs. Every time I saw it I was hoping a mod like this existed =)

bro hahaha I was just thinking about this yesterday AND NOW LOOK THE GOAT DID IT HIMSELF

I always loved volumetric shaders for adding a little more fog and this might fix my problems
