Im making this mod for the moonlit fantasy server but I welcome anyone who wants it to add it to their own to do so.
This mod adds a menu for players to unlock different titles to go on their names based on different achievements. Players can open the menu (default key is ,) to check their titles and change what title they have equipped at any time,
Some rare titles also add cool weapon and aura effects.
I would like to explain a little about changing the titles for other server owners
If you download the mod as you would normally and upload it to the server you can open up your data/modconfig/moonlittitles.json to see the simple stuff you can edit in there and you can also just erase any titles you dont like.
after that if you want to do a little more changing make a folder somewhere on your pc and unzip the mod into it, open the ServerTools folder and then open ConfigEditor. from there upload your moonlittitles.json from earlier and you can edit the titles, unlock requirements or add your own new titles. for clarity if you are trying to change amounts needed for a title, for example you want to lower the amount of steel needed for a default title, you can just put your own amount into the unlockgoal 0 will simply keep the defaults that i set on my own server.
right now you cant edit any of the special effects some of the titles come with but thats planned for the future. when you finish what you wanted to change you can then click download config at the top and then put that new moonlittitles.json back in place of the old one in your modconfig.
if anyone has requests or suggestions im all ears.

Hey I've done a similar thing with my Player Titles mod.
Very cool to see the progression window.
Wondering what kind of weapon/aura effects? Any chance we can see screenshots?
Also, depending how you've implemented the titles (mine are psuedotraits) is this potenially usable for player progression as well?
iv added pictures of two of the aura effects they are very simple just made of the particle effects used by vanilla stuff, but the titles are just titles that go in the chat box to show what players have done not tied to progression really. its more like unlocking titles in ffxiv
Fair enough
Still very cool, the particle effect system isn't something I'd at all considered.
Great work!
i have explained a little more about making your own titles in the description of the mod
Oh that's a very neat way of handling achievements. Would be cool if this was customizable or some sort of Lib. Could see a lot of potential in that
Would it be possible to add configs and such for this? I see potential for this.
im adding a couple more options to the modconfig but is there anything more specific you were wanting me to do?
Allowing for the creation of new titles entirely, as well as removal of existing ones. This could be a very useful modpack tool if done right.
you can do that, please see the little guide i put in the description
