🐶 More Classic (MC) Bark 🐶

A small sound patch for Wolf Taming

Wolf Taming's tamed adult dogs use the vanilla wolf howl for their idle sound and speak command. This mod swaps that howl out for a More Classic dog bark, so your loyal companion sounds like a dog instead of a wolf that never learned to be cute.

What it changes:

  • Idle ambient sound
  • Speak command sound

Doesn't change any other Wolf Taming behavior, animation, or balance.

Requirements:
https://mods.vintagestory.at/wolftaming - Since this is a patch directly for this mod, it is not optional.

https://mods.vintagestory.at/petai - Because Wolf Taming requires it.

May work on earlier versions of the base game and/or these mods, but not guarenteed.

Should be compatible with everything else Wolf Taming related unless it changes the same sounds.

Install:
Needed on both client and server for dedicated multiplayer.

Found a stray howl I missed? Let me know in the comments. If the base mod updates and makes changes to their entity structure, this mod might break and need an update as well.

Heya, love this mod. Small issue; the bark isn't directional and instead is pretty much just playing in the players ear when in range of a dog. Definitely a lot more bearable than the ear-splitting howl in the base mod, though.
