Hey, How is the work going for all other missing FotSA mods?

BarkNoi, Jun 10th at 4:49 PM (modified Jun 11th at 6:37 PM)

Assuming this is also patching the (listed) Fotsa mods to work on 1.22.x?

EDIT: For example, do they use the new rendered fat to turn them into pelts? And does this avoid the game crashing when looking up pelt recipes in the handbook (as some has reported) etc?

@MayaPapaya: Many of the FotSA mods reportedly work with 1.22 without a patch

That's news to me!
Are you playing with them as well on 1.22?
I saw this in the comments on Felinae:
"I killed a lynx, and attempted to look up in the guidebook how to turn its pelt into leather. Upon opening the guidebook page, the game crashed. It's consistant, does it every time. I guess this doesn't quite work in 1.22.2 yet!"
Are you getting this problem as well?
Hopefully this mod bypasses that by opting it into the butchering production line.

Anyway, thanks for the heads-up! I have the courage to try them out now for my new world ❤️

Edit:
Looking at some of the other FotSA mods, I've found other comments as well, such as:
"Just noticed you get crash to desktop if you attempt to look at the recipie for moose hide to huge hide. I believe the hides are using the old ID's pre 1.22 versus the new huge hides. Along with the fact you need raw fat and not rendered fat to turn them into pelts."
And a reply to that:
"was about to say this as well just had it happen
edit: To add on to this you cant even look at recipes pertaining to the huge hide it just crashes the game to desktop"
On the Capreolinae (big deer) mod.

I use Felinae Pantherinae-v1.2.13 and Capreolinae-v2.0.12 which are up to date currently. I have not had issues with crashes caused by either mod and they work as expected with Butchering on 1.22.2 for me.

I added Elephantidae and Bovinae last night as someone in the comments of one of those said they were able to play fine with most of the FotSA mods on 1.22 and those are the last 2 I really care about and have been waiting on, but I don't think they play nice with my current modset. I got into the game fine for a bit, but then started crashing a bunch, something to do with a forge rendering a work item causing me to crash. Doesn't sound like it should be those mods, I did update a bunch last night, but to be safe for now, I have rolled back my server, and I am going to hold off on re-adding Elephantidae and Bovinae until they are properly marked for 1.22

@HalfThere: This is a known issue with the Sirena FotSA module, are you running that? It causes all hide recipes to crash

No, only running the ones listed in this mod.

Got a crash from trying to navigate down the leather production pipeline past "oiled hide" in the handbook yesterday though. Not sure what cause it to be honest, but I'm pretty sure I was able to go past it before I installed this mod and the fotsa mods, so I can only have suspicions.

Are you running these and are able to click yourself through the leather production pipeline in the handbook?

I'm able to both click through leather production (soaked) and hide production (oiled) on all hide sizes without problem. However, I'm running Bovinae, Caninae, Capreolinae, Elephantidae, Felinae, Machairodontinae, Pantherinae, and Rhinocerotidae.

I've been considering changing my FotSA line-up to yours just to see if the problem persists - it would at least serve as a bug-checking measure (if the problem persists, its coming from elsewhere)

Please also add these:
Fauna of the Stone Age: Vombatidae Plus

Fauna of the Stone Age: Bovinae

Fauna of the Stone Age: Cervinae

Fauna of the Stone Age: Dinornithiformes Plus
They are large animals that are common, so players will want to tame and/or butcher these.

Any chance on also adding the Cows?
