Forever Modpack

A modpack tailored for Forever Worlds

Install

1. (Recommended) Back up and empty the contents of ModConfig and Mods from your VintagestoryData folder.
2. Download and copy the modpack zip file to your Mods folder.
3. Open the zip file, navigate to the mod's ModConfig folder and copy the contents to your own ModConfig folder.

Mod Choices

These are just general guidelines as to how I have chosen the mods and how I will continue to do so for this modpack.

They are intentionally strict to ensure that either they can be removed easily, or add something so valuable that their removal in 10 years would be worth the trouble.

• Adds more things to do or makes the game feel more alive.
• Does not modify existing game mechanics.
• Has a good track record of being kept up to date.
• Does not make the game easier.

Game Versions

This modpack will be kept up to date with game updates. Furthermore, lots of efforts are put in to ensure backwards compatibility so that you never have to reset your world.

This is the modpack I play my own forever world on.

Suggested World Settings

• Keep Inventory on Death
• Microblock Chiseling: Most cubic
• Color-Accurate map: On
• Temporal Storms: Off
• Class Exclusive Recipes: Off
• Landform Scale: 300%
• World Height: 384 blocks

 

All mod settings are included with the modpack and you don't have to do anything special.

This is licenced under AGPLv3. Which means if you make a derivative of this modpack, you must make it open source.

Additionally, due to how strict the mod choices are, do not request mods to be added in the comments.
