LICHEN: FLINT SAW
A simple mod that adds the ability to make saws out of flint and obsidian. Stone saws are significantly weaker than the metal versions and require resin, which allows players to make small amounts of planks early on. Our IRL ancestors made flint saws, so I figured this would be a nice addition.
For 1.22.x

Q: Is this compatible with [insert tool overhaul mod]?
A: I have no idea. Support will probably have to be on their side, unless I personally use the mod and find a need for it.

Hi!
Would it be possible to add a config option to reduce the board output please? The idea would be to make a little more challenging to use stone saws.
Yes I can look into doing that. Board output is directly tied to the item's durability.
Hello, Lich!
I have made a custom patch for myself to make your Flint Saw mod work with Sticks from Firewood mod by IAmMallow (https://mods.vintagestory.at/mallowsqolsticksfromfirewood).
Will you allow me to publish this compatibility patch on the Mod DB? I have not used AI in the making of this patch, because I am capable to do it myself!
yeah anyone can publish patches or forks of my mod without permission i dont mind
Great mod, helps with early game plank making!
But I recently tried the mod In Dappled Groves with your Flint Saw and they don't work together. Could you do anything about it or should I go ask the creators of In Dappled Groves for a compatability patch?
If not it's not a problem, I 'd still choose your simple and cool flint saw over their complex mod.
that would probably have to be on dapple grove's end, yeah
Well in that case I'll stop using their mod. Your lichen series mods are truly enhancing the vintage survival experience. Thank you very much Lich and keep up the great work!
i've updated the versioning to include 1.22.3 because nothing in the update would affect or change the functionality of this mod.
any plans on compat with toolsmith?
that appears to be something better handled on toolsmith's side of things
not-soso, if ya use custom shapes for handles. its quite easy to do in yer mod's side. if ya want i can give ya a hand, just ping me in the discord server.
oh yeah, I may poke you on discord later then :)
how did it go?
"unable to load mod. Requires dependency game v1.22.2" im on 1.22.0 though and the gap is is 1.22.0-pre.1 to 1.22.2... mesa confused XD
Whoops. I may have misunderstood how the modinfo works for versioning. I'll try to fix this and reupload
OH! youre all good dude, thankyou for a quick reply though ive been stuck tryna make it work XD
okay, try the newest version, should no longer have the version issue i hope
wait, is it not loading at All? It should still be working even if the version is "wrong", it works for me.
YES
Is that realistic?))
Yes!
