I'm hoping this mod will get a collection of even more Bloodborne-esque clothes; both ghoulish and dapper, but mostly ghoulish. Fits the sad, hollow vibe more. The tricorne is a classic for that aesthetic, but a hardee hat with the option to pin up one side or the other would be lovely.

I'm also hoping the leather skirt gets larger. The icon suggests it should be much larger than it appears when worn, and it's criminally small, almost like it's straight-up missing parts of it.

If you want a suggestion for a piece I'm particularly fond of, it would be the Expeditioner's Coat from Final Fantasy 14. A premium vagabond's upper garb. 👌
Would probably be separated into multiple pieces. I guess the inner top shirt/tunic/sash combo, the outer top sleeveless leather coat, the belt set, and maybe the neckerchief as a face item. Otherwise the neckerchief could be a toggleable part of the coat.

Some leather jackboots/thighboots would also be nice. Perfect for the more elegant flavor of hunter's aesthetic, or as a foundation for halfplate leg armor.

💬 OutcastAJ, May 31st at 11:27 AM

Getting the same error as KaylaTheFurry while playing 1.20.10 and 1.20.11, not sure if it has anything to do with the item in question being uncraftable, but it's the only one. Been enjoying the others for my non-winter outfit though =u=
The fur wrap/croptop coupled with a Nadiyan bolero and skirt is a great look lol.

Also unless I'm missing a lore scroll/book I think the temptress wasn't a prozzie, just someone in the noble court who knew how to use her charms without being a painted lady, judging by the flavour text.

💬 Roachwitharoach, May 31st at 4:00 AM

im not sure if it's just bc the mod is outdated for the newest version or if it's something with another mod I'm using (Kemono), but the clothing seems to be invisible when equipped?

I could also just be stupid.

💬 FamiliarFeline, May 27th at 10:36 PM

Is there any chance that we could get a config to remove the dyed cloth recipes that are added? I'm not a huge fan of them for game balance, and currently it's a matter of unzipping and editing the files to make it work.

💬 QueerCoded, May 27th at 11:11 AM

The fur bracers and fur gaiters have the same recipe, making the fur bracers uncraftable

💬 Aloy , May 25th at 1:35 AM

Balduranne my discord is aloy.sia if you want I can dm you some other concepts/WIP stuff I had and concept sketches too :) a lot of the stuff I wanted to add I simply couldn't get working such as better 3d models/layers and some headgear

💬 Balduranne, May 24th at 1:25 PM

I don't want to make promises for the rest of the team time-wise, but I'm making this my next project. You are seen 🖖

💬 Aloy , May 24th at 2:47 AM

Balduranne i wont lie, it definitely gave me the wrong vibe when the only "female/femme" outfit i ever found in 80 hrs was a temptress aka prostit//te garb. thats what spurned this mod. that being said if yall like any of these assets/wanna do them better, please steal it and add it to vanilla <3 bonus then i dont have to keep updating this mod sobs. id appreciate credit but idgaf abt money, just make them game cooler :p

💬 Ryumachinae, May 23rd at 8:36 PM

👀@Balduranne something we could look forward to in 1.21?

💬 Balduranne, May 23rd at 6:55 PM

"Why doesn't vanilla have any dresses/femme stuff?"

Hey, developer here - We only figured out the ability to make skirts a better clothing system fairly recently, which is why we don't have much feminine stuff yet.
I'm painfully aware of it though 😅

💬 Aloy , May 23rd at 8:34 AM

1noden i havent had time to balance any of the stats- life IRL has been hell. i will some point in the future though

💬 1noden, May 22nd at 10:06 PM

Very cool but some of the warmth stats seem pretttyyyy unbalanced and rushed...
A dress has the same warmth as a binder?
:P
just seems a bit weird that you would discard your starting clothes for what would be less coverage?
also fur mukluks would be VERY cool. (maybe with a 3d layer to add depth to the fur part?)
thx :3

💬 KaylaTheFurry, May 16th at 7:53 PM

Hey!
Had an error that read
''[Error] Grid Recipe with output Item code dressedtokill:clothes-upperbodyover-flannel-coat contains an ingredient that cannot be resolved: Item code game:linen-normal-down''

I have both libraries installed too!
Wool is ver 1.6.3
Shear is ver 1.1.2

💬 Aloy , May 14th at 9:40 PM

Ryumachinae just look at the creative tab, or search around by materials

Satomi ill fix it asap

💬 Ryumachinae, May 14th at 2:08 AM

would it be too much of a pain to add a tutorial mod entry that lists every available piece of clothing?

💬 Satomi, May 2nd at 9:43 AM

cant seem to craft fur skirt at all , always jump to leather skirt instead in the craft menu

💬 Aloy , Apr 28th at 4:49 PM

KnightessOruna that is a vanilla clothing layering issue and not something i am able to resolve unfortunately.

💬 KnightessOruna, Apr 28th at 1:12 PM

I hope i am not being annoying but while playing I noticed that the repaired Blackguard shirt doesn't hang loosely over the Woolen pants and thigh high boots. The vanilla version of the shirt hangs over these two articles of clothing. It kind of looks like my seraph stuffed her shirt into her pants and thigh boots. Could be a clipping issue I am not sure I hope my explanation makes sense. <3

💬 Aloy , Apr 26th at 5:39 PM

KnightessOruna no i forgot to patch it i will soon :sob: it should be 1

💬 KnightessOruna, Apr 26th at 11:50 AM

The crafting recipe For the fixed blackguard shirt asks for 11 of the starter blackguard shirts. Is this as intended? The recipes goes 11 blackguard shirts ontop of of 1 sewing kit and 2 blue cloth. Thanks for the the reply btw. I can be a bit foolish sometimes. <3

💬 Aloy , Apr 25th at 11:06 PM

@crisp for now just use two medium hides to make the top instead of the huge one- ill patch it in the future

💬 chisps, Apr 25th at 10:35 PM

Ah ok. Also, the recipe for Huge to Large and Large to Medium hides doesn't work, it conflicts with the recipe for rawhide clothing

💬 Aloy , Apr 25th at 9:59 PM

chisps KnightessOruna it now requires Wool & More / Shear Lib

💬 KnightessOruna, Apr 25th at 7:13 PM

Getting a bunch of errors and the game crashes.

💬 chisps, Apr 25th at 6:30 PM

Getting a number of errors on startup, all like this:

25.4.2025 14:25:31 [Error] Grid Recipe with output Item code dressedtokill:clothes-upperbody-blackguard-shirt-repaired contains an ingredient that cannot be resolved: Item code wool:cloth-wool-blue
25.4.2025 14:25:31 [Warning] Failed resolving crafting recipe ingredient with code wool:cloth-wool-brown in Grid recipe

etc. for a bunch of other recipes. Seems like they reference wool which is not a vanilla material

💬 Fluff_Riverfox, Apr 24th at 12:07 PM

Actually would like to see maid outfit

💬 Aloy , Apr 23rd at 11:22 PM

ThePhantomX64 thats not my mod nor does it have overlap...?

💬 ThePhantomX64, Apr 23rd at 11:18 PM

Ah ok. So what about Dressmakers mod? It seems to be a mod about being able to craft and repair the vanilla class clothings.

💬 Aloy , Apr 23rd at 10:38 PM

ThePhantomX64 as of version 1.5.0 yes.

💬 ThePhantomX64, Apr 23rd at 10:33 PM

s this mod happen to be compatibile with the tailoring mods such as the ones that use Shear-lib? (sorry. Can't name the mods off the top of my head, I forgot their names rn.)

💬 Aloy , Apr 21st at 5:52 PM

Coaltrain0 it should yes, nothing has effectively changed recipe-wise between those versions as far as I know.

💬 Coaltrain0, Apr 21st at 11:15 AM

Does this mod still work on 1.19? when i search specifically for the version it comes up but there is no 1.19 version in the downloads, only 1.20?

💬 Aloy , Apr 19th at 2:19 AM

Kida_Mei that's probably a typo - it should only take one lmao. ill fix it in a day or two- just got back from a trip. for now if you open it and edit the recipe json you can fix it there.

💬 Kida_Mei, Apr 18th at 2:20 PM

Hi there, absolutely love this mod! I installed it on a private server with some friends and we've been really enjoying it! However, we noticed that the Repaired Blackguard Shirt currently requires 11 Blackguard Shirts to repair. Is this by design? I only wonder because none of the other repaired versions of the Blackguard clothes require more than one, lol. Thank you again! :)

💬 Aloy , Apr 18th at 1:24 PM

Jhoulana it should be - i forgot to add that version number to the description

💬 Jhoulana, Apr 18th at 10:23 AM

thank you! ^^ but i see that version 1.5.0 does not support 1.20.4 ?  i am still on 1.20.4 couse of other mods. do you mind making it compatible with 1.20.4 please ?

💬 Aloy , Apr 17th at 9:13 PM

Jhoulana added!

💬 Aloy , Apr 17th at 6:11 PM

Jhoulana not yet but i'll add that in 1.5.0!

💬 Jhoulana, Apr 17th at 1:31 PM

is this compatible with Wool 🙵 More ?

💬 Aloy , Apr 11th at 7:53 AM

Asil closer to skirts than kilts but same diff lol- hippy headbands totally would be cool if I could get the damned headgear to render, I originally planned on a headscarf as well. Flower Crowns/Hair Pins would be neat too. War Feathers I'm not gonna add for respect for cultural reasons/ppl I know IRL. Headbands I'll keep in mind though!

💬 Asil, Apr 10th at 10:17 PM

Kilts? I can has Kilts? WOOHOO! Along with hats, how about Hippy Headbands or War Feathers? Flower or butterfly headbands would also be fun. Wait...can there be a long skirt? With a bustle? Or just the butt cape?

💬 Aloy , Apr 5th at 4:22 PM

Vigilance Im planning to balance them in a future patch- for now check the itemtypes folder json, it has the values

💬 Vigilance, Apr 5th at 3:30 PM

Hey, I really like the general "mission" of this mod, and I especially enjoy the idea of more low-tech or simple clothing being added, but I do have some concerns currently with the insulation values on some things being a good bit higher than what similar vanilla attire would provide. Any ideas to generally reduce/normalize the insulation, or should I write a simple patch for it?

💬 gndrneutralnoun, Apr 4th at 7:02 PM

Some suggestions:

  • More skirts/dresses? Especially long ones! The current leather and grass skirts are so short they barely look like skirts haha.
  • Robes and/or tunics! As a nonbinary person who isn't a huge fan of pants, I think it would be great to have (historically) androgynous alternatives.
  • Hats, maybe? I'm not sure which styles would fit in with the game's setting, but I love hats haha.

Thanks again for the great mod :D

Edit: Forgot to say, I thought maybe using just mordanted cloth (along with the sewing kit) for repairing the blood-soaked rags would be suitable? You could also have an optional integration with Butchering's blood based on the game's native compatibility system. Also, while I'm thinking of it: the ability to dye cloth so early might put some people off of this mod, so why not use ConfigLib to make it optional to disable it? I've used ConfigLib myself as a JSON-only modder and it works great.

💬 Aloy , Apr 3rd at 4:19 PM

Annastasija tysm! <3

💬 Annastasija, Apr 2nd at 11:20 PM

I love your mod.

💬 Aloy , Apr 2nd at 10:20 PM

A new mod has now been released! The Rustblood Hunters (Class). It has this as a dependency for the clothing, and I plan to add a repaired variant of it / update the textures probably eventually.

💬 Aloy , Apr 2nd at 7:13 PM

finally i have reason to make bloodborne inspired garments for VS.

the time has come to join the hunt.

Firearms for VintageStory without Combat Overhaul released today.

💬 Hydromancerx, Apr 2nd at 6:43 AM

Some ideas ...
- Buckskin Leather clothing.
- Tule based clothing such as skirts and other woven items.
- Feather based clothing such a feather capes, head dresses, etc.
- Bone based clothing ...

Thanks in advance!

💬 Aloy , Mar 31st at 9:02 PM

Ryumachinae duly noted- ill fix those asap tonight

edit: fixed in latest patch

💬 Ryumachinae, Mar 31st at 5:25 PM

By the way theres still a few broken recipies:

31.3.2025 10:19:26 [Warning] Failed resolving crafting recipe ingredient with code game:cloth-blue in Grid recipe
31.3.2025 10:19:26 [Error] Grid Recipe with output Item code dressedtokill:clothes-upperbody-dungaree-jumpsuit-top contains an ingredient that cannot be resolved: Block code game:cloth-blue
31.3.2025 10:19:26 [Error] Grid Recipe with output Item code dressedtokill:clothes-lowerbody-reed-skirt has and incorrect ingredient pattern length. Ignoring recipe.

💬 Ryumachinae, Mar 31st at 5:10 PM

Aloy ok no problem, I let the dev of HoD know and they said theyd handle the compatibility, tbh i'd reccomend checking them out 👍

💬 Aloy , Mar 30th at 5:54 PM

AntisocialCat it's fixed now! Decided to get it now since my epsom salt bath helped

💬 Aloy , Mar 30th at 4:49 PM

@AntisocialCat it could be- either way tonight I'll put out a patch to modify the recipe to:
222
222
000

in the meantime you can modify the reed-skirt.json if you want to. should be like 8 hrs from now at the latest- just woke up w severe back pain and i gotta tackle this first.

@KotaTheFox noted

💬 AntisocialCat, Mar 30th at 12:38 PM

Sorry idk how to post pictures here but here's an imgur photo lmao
Could it be a mod confilct then ?
It's weird because i can craft coil from 2 2 2 cattails but also 3 3 3

💬 KotaTheFox, Mar 30th at 2:46 AM

Socks/stockings mostly Aloy

💬 Aloy , Mar 29th at 11:41 PM

KotaTheFox thigh-high stockings, boots, or something else?

💬 KotaTheFox, Mar 29th at 11:09 PM

Thigh highs?

💬 Aloy , Mar 29th at 12:01 AM

AntisocialCat reed skirt is 3 3 3, coil of rope is 2 2 2, reed sandals is 2 0 2

💬 AntisocialCat, Mar 28th at 9:55 PM

Hello, seems like the reed skirt is overlaping with coil of rope. Unless it's added by a different mod which doesn't seem like it

💬 Aloy , Mar 28th at 8:51 PM

@Ryumachina I have no  clue how

💬 Dweadsy, Mar 28th at 7:46 PM

Looks cute def using in my main world!

💬 Ryumachinae, Mar 28th at 7:39 PM

Hi, can you add support for Hydrate or Dietrate so that the lighter stuff provides cooling as well?

💬 gndrneutralnoun, Mar 28th at 1:48 PM

Yooooo you had me at androgynous/feminine clothes. So excited to use this! I totally agree that vanilla needs more dresses and fem stuff, especially since clothes with skirts have historically been worn by men in plenty of cultures. Justice for skirts!

💬 DUCATISLO, Mar 28th at 1:41 PM

blackguard unifrom pristine!

💬 Aloy , Mar 28th at 6:02 AM

im going fucking insane why is there such a tiny drag and drop icon for images. either way theres images now.

💬 Aloy , Mar 28th at 5:03 AM
