so i got the female one and it kept mmultiplying dropping egg even tho i dont have male..... i have 4 of them now.... what going on
Are you using any mods that affect the multiply behaviour of entities or just affect entities in general? I'm not able to recreate this issue with just this mod and its dependencies
i use multiple mod it might be why we have this problem and it is somehow solved. after server reset. thank you very much for resply.
Had one grow up wingless, is this a feature or a bug?
They have gender dimorphism so the females are bigger and have wings while the males are smaller and don't have wings, so it's a feature
Hey I want you to know this is my FAVOURITE mount mod. I absolutely ADORE the noises the baby Jewel Hornfins make. And a mount that works with PetAI is so freaking cool!!!!! Do you have plans for any more dragons like this? Or potentially of making the other dragons from Draconis work with PetAI?
These guys were a commission by me!! Shin is wonderful to work with so I'd recommend reaching out if you're able to and looking for something specifc dragon wise :)

i dont know how to tell if it loaded i have all the other mods for it but nothing new the the creative menu, and on the mod menu it says it's compatable but it's dont seems like it's loaded

I need to clarify. To make nests spawn, can I just manually place a lot of driftwood and wait for them to appear?
You could, but they don't spawn within 100 blocks of the player
Does the size of the driftwood matter for spawns?
It should work on all the white driftwood you find above ground, I don't think it works on the clutter versions you sometimes find in underground ruins
I wonder, what are the advantages to the Hornfin compared to other dragons besides PetAI?
They're small and cute idk what else you want /j
But honestly just spawn some in a creative world, try em out
They are a small semi aquatic dragon with pretty severe gender dimorphism which has its pros and cons
Them using petAI definitely has a big impact as well.
But like I don't keep a spreadsheet of what dragon is better or worse at what
Is the growth time for the Hornfin identical to the growth of the other dragons on the main mod or is it different?
it's a decent chunk shorter since it's also a much smaller dragon (especially the males)

what do those numbers mean, are they days? also whats the normal growth time of the larger dragons?
they are in game hours
the larger dragons have a growth time that's quite a bit longer than this

I'm curious about the spawning on driftwood part:
Do they spawn in on the driftwood as the chunks first get rendered or does the game search for a piece of driftwood and place the egg there when the spawn roll goes well?
They only spawn during runtime (so when a chunk is loaded). Most of the creatures in game spawn in either air blocks or long grass blocks, these guys (well their nests) just spawn in driftwood blocks instead
so, under that logic (despite it being slightly cheap), if someone were to place a bunch of driftwood in a given chunk and keep said chunk rendered, would the egg have a chance to spawn on the driftwood, or does the driftwood have to be naturally there
That would cause them to spawn there yes, they shouldn't spawn within 100 blocks of the player at least though

How fast do they have compared to the draconis dragons?
They fly a bit slower since they're quite small, but they can swim faster than the other dragons can swim. They also grow up a bit quicker
