Some nights, whether it's the storms or your grip on the world slipping, sleep doesn't take you where it should. You open your eyes beside your bed. At least that's familiar. But you're somewhere pale and quiet that wasn't there before. It's still there the next time. Wherever you lie down to sleep, the dream sits beneath you, in the same spot, waiting.


Walk, listen, Notice things. Nothing is going to explain itself to you.

What to expect

  • A persistent dream world that remembers where you've been
  • No quests, no journals, no text. Only the place itself, its sounds and the things in it
  • An original soundtrack that follows you while you're there (see credits)
  • The deeper your instability, the less the dream holds together
  • You always wake up. Your bed is the way back

How it begins

Dreams can come when you sleep between dusk and dawn with your temporal stability at 50% or below. The lower it is, the more likely they are. Weather can also increase the chance of you dreaming. A dream lasts a few minutes, but can be cut short.

Good to know

  • Required on both client and server if you plan to use it in multiplayer.
  • The dream can't be built on or mined in survival
  • Uses completely custom dimensions (default 3 for now) and needs a world taller than 144 blocks. If another mod uses that dimension, change it in ModConfig/tsubakisdreams.json before the first dream
  • Admins: /dream enter, /dream wake, /dream status, /dream stability 

 

A gentle note to you

This mod leans into unease: isolation, distance, things that watch. It's meant to be eerie, not cruel, and there are quiet places too, this mod may contain audio that may be overwhelming to some, or visuals that come off too strongly.

Early release (0.1.0). Expect rough edges, and please report bugs!

how does it work with timeskip from sleeping in multiplayer? if only one person gets the dream does everyone else sleeping to try to skip the night have to wait in real time with no speedup till the player wakes up?
