Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.4.4-dev.2 - 1.21.7 and 1.22.2, potentially outdated):
chickensitreloaded_1.1.2.zip 1-click install
ChickenSit Reloaded is a simple patch mod that modifies tameable animal AI to stop them from fleeing from the player after a configurable-per-animal generation (default 1). Wild animals will still flee as normal, and domestic animals will still flee from predators.
If you've ever felt that it was obnoxious that chickens and goats have freakouts every time you come near them even after generation 3,4,5+, this mod is for you.
Note: This mod is named after and is based on ChickenSit, but is not actually a patch of that mod.

The original chickensit mod had several comments asking for compat with various creature mods, if you have a mod in mind please post it + some details on the animals that need to be patched and I will see if I can add them in.
Currently compatible with:
- Fauna of the Stone Age: Bovinae
- More Animals

This mod doesn't seem to affect hares, even though the latest update says it should. They still run away from me while chickens and such do not.
Could you update the mod to affect pigs and sheep? Previously they wouldn't be bothered by the player regardless of generation, but as of 1.22 they freak out and try to run just like every other animal.
williams_482 yes expect an update to 1.22.2 this weekend
Could you add an option so that small animals stop running away not after the first generation, but after the second or third, for example?
Added per-animal type configuration. This should work for you
Is the per-animal type configuration in the dll if i decompile it? I dont see that in either json.
well the mod is open source so...
try deleting the config then relaunching the game. I'm not sure if it will replace an old version config with the new version in the same directory
I didn't even know rabbits were domesticable (and it doesn't help that the code to spawn annoying rabbits to grief your crops has been broken forever so you dont really see them all that often)
Onions yes, I mean vanilla rabbits/hares :)
nasya Are hares vanilla I can add that when i do the 1.22 stable release (whenever 1.22 stable is out)
Will it affect hares? I would love my hares to be calm around me too.
Could you maybe add piglets? <3
thank you! i really hope you'll update this when the stable 1.22 comes out , i dont want to play without it!
Thank you very much for this! I was stuck between cheatily setting their gen to 10 and just not having chickens or goats because of their eternal twitchiness. 🐥
Thank you so much.
Thank you for this mod!
Added compat for bovinae and More Animals.
ChamomileTea as far as I can tell, none of the sirenia animals are domesticable, so adding compat wouldn't do anything.
Please add compat for More Animals and Fauna of the Stone Age: Sirenia!
Working on compat for fauna of the stone age mods.
would love if you could add Fauna of the Stone Age: Bovinae. hate how crazy the Eurasian aurochs go when i go into my barn
