Simple application of PetAI to vanilla chickens. I don't expect to maintain this too much, but I might add some small features upon request.
Needs PetAI to function!
Be careful to pick the correct version:
3.3.0 for 1.20.5+
3.2.0 for 1.20.4
How to use
You can only tame chicks. I suggest trapping them as they will take a while to tame. To increase their affinity with you, feed them grain, this will increase it by 10% and have a cooldown of 1 hour. Once the affinity has reached 100%, you will be able to name your pet. Give them commands by shift-right clicking on them. Commands have an obedience requirement, feed them more food to increase obedience. You can also feed them vegetarian pet cookies, which add 80% obedience and have a 3 hour cooldown. A pet whistle can be used to issue long-distance commands. Enjoy!
Tame chicken will now breed and interact with other chickens, giving birth to normal chickens.
Warning: Tamed entities will disappear if you uninstall the mod, they will not come back.

Thanks jayu for the fix, no more errors :-). Indeed it must have been recent (but I no longer have the old logs to check). Sorry I did not give you enough details, I'm running 1.20.7.
Menelos I fixed it, but I am unsure if it's something that started in 1.20.7 since I didn't see it before. Newest version also works all the way down from 1.20.5 but if that file changed for some reason (and 1.20.5 gives similar errors with the new version) then please use 1.1.0 instead. Unless, I am overthinking this and you are using 1.20.5 already in which case ignore everything I said lol.

I have not yet been able to try to pet a chicken yet, not made enough progress yet, but looking forward to it. I guess these errors are going to affect the behavior but I cannot yet tell if that's a problem.

SoggySome uhm, at the top it says Description/Files/Issue Tracker/Source and if you press on files, it will show all uploaded versions of the mod.
@jayu how? the page does not have past versions that i could find. i forgot to backup the old one
SoggySome use PetAi 3.2.0, the new version is for 1.20.5 (unstable) as far as I am aware
wish i could use it. updated to the new pet api and for some reason its asking for a dependency that dont exist
