Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.20.7, outdated):
Cheese More Delicious.zip 1-click install
In Vintage Story, making cheese destroys most of the nutrition from the raw milk. This is neither realistic nor does it feel good considering the sheer amount of time and resources it takes to acquire cheese. And blue cheese is even less saturating than cheddar, which is bizarre considering how finicky the setup is for making it.
This mod buffs each slice of a cheddar cheese wheel to 460 saturation, roughly half of the equivalent milk. So you're still better off drinking milk straight for pure satiation, but the penalty for preserving it isn't as severe. And blue cheese is 500 saturation a slice to reward you for going to the effort of making it. Additionally, cheese now actually gets the 1.5x saturation buff when used in meals like scrambled eggs.
Similar mods have been made, but none were quite what I wanted. If you have strong disagreements about the balance I've chosen, feel free to alter the values for your personal use.
Note for Expanded Foods Users:
Expanded Foods has its own implementation of the meal buff for cheese, with lower values. This results in cheese losing some satiation when used in meals when our mods are loaded together. Creating a compatibility patch isn't really feasible at this time. Thank you for understanding.

Hello, does it work with 1.21.x? Thank you.
Hakisak I apologize for taking so long to respond to your comment. I cannot recreate your issue. In my testing, there is no problem with putting cheese in pies or other meals. It may be due to your other food mods.
This mod prevents cheese being in pies (and other things), but I did have all the different food mods installed.

So, after looking into it, it looks like Expanded Foods has its own implementation of the meal buff for cheese, which overrides this mod's values when both mods are loaded. This results in cheese losing some satiety when used in meals. Creating a compatibility patch isn't really feasible at this time. I'll make a note of this in the main description.
Hi! Does this work with A Culinary Artillery/Expanded Foods? This mod interests me but I'm unsure if it cleanly interacts with those mods or not.
