A simple mod that adds:

Bone body and leg armour

Bone arrows

Bone spear

Bone hoe and shovel

Horned longbow and Recurve bow

Bones in soup

Now compatible with Combat Overhaul!

The bone bows are not fully compatible and work as vanillia ones would in Combat Overhaul (This will be fixed in future, currently I'm dealing with severe weather)

MaiaK CO's spears are much longer, while my one is modeled after the vanilla spear. Maybe in the future I'll revist this

No no throwing is the same, it's the melee attack range that is very short (in fact I've been using it exclusively for throwing because of this).

You can kind of see it with the way it's held in the hands, the tip is very close to the hand instead of being far away (holding right click and scrolling the mouse wheel, which in CO changes grip lenght, only makes this grip even shorter)

MaiaK On testing this the spear can be thrown several blocks+, I don't really use CO personally but when comparing it with the flint spear from CO it is thrown the same distance

Hi! Using the Bone spear with combat overhaul, the range of the spear is less than one block: usable, but incredibly hard to use. Is this intended?

since the model creator hates me, can I ask you please make bones a handle material for the tools that don't currently accept it? I apologise it's a big ask. and I hope you are doing well.

Mmmhh, turnip soup with bone! 😁 I don't know how motivated you are to put in further work, but may I offer a suggestion anyways?

Perhaps instead of simply marking bones as an optional ingredient for soup, you could process them into broth first, then use the broth to make soup.

Reasoning:
Tthe water in the first slot of a soup is a dead slot. It offers no advantage, but it takes away a slot for an ingredient. Being able to use bones in a soup is nice for using up bones, but that still leaves soups as the meal type that restores by far the least satiety. Because the bones are only worth 40 satiety, you could even say that using bones makes this worse. A soup with bone as an ingredient will be even lighter on satiety restoration than a regular soup that has other ingredients in the same number of slots.
If however bone broth could be used in place of water, this turns the dead slot into a useful one, adding the bone broth's satiety to the other three ingredients in the soup.
The downside is that you'd have to cook the broth first, but that seems like a fair trade-off for a more concentrated meal.

Potential cooking pot recipes:
- 1L water + 1 bone = 1L thin bone broth, worth 40 protein satiety
- 1L water + 1 bone + 1 bone = 1L thick bone broth, worth 80 protein satiety

If that's too much for the scope of this mod, I understand... but hey, it never hurts to ask 🙂

I second Raichester's request for a bone helmet/mask.

Bone broth was something I was always wishing was baseline in the game, along with their use in fletching. Thank you for this!
