Hello Alodh
It seems that the quenching process is lost when attempting to craft the Blackguard Dagger. I’m using the latest version of Combat Overhaul along with all of its dependencies.

Zoomerist, 5 days ago

what this mod add?

SeNIX, 5 days ago

Would there be a possibility of making this compatible with the new visored helmets fork? Please? I really loved that back in 1.21.5

SeNIX, 5 days ago (modified 5 days ago)
@Alodh: whats not compatible?

Oh, so it's already built in? The pre-fork version removed the compatibility so i assumed this one didn't have it out of the box and i didn't have time to test it yet.
If it's there you're a freaking legend!

Has A Problem With X Skills Quality Mod The iron Chain And a lot of other things cant be put on the ground anymore and also cant be quenced
also has problems with toolsmith

hello, just commenting to see if author is still active. Is there anything going on that's preventing communication/updates? Don't want to sound like a bitch so let me know if I do

Kilroy, Aug 23rd at 6:35 PM
@Alodh: what update do you want? its working

Perhaps he's referring to the issue that Gaulahad had mentioned two months ago that I'm also experiencing. When you have this mod installed, crafting an Iron Hammer or Meteoric Iron Hammer is impossible through Toolsmith.

Oh hello, its good to see that you're active. Yea I have the same question as Kilroy and Gaulahad, I don't have the mod downloaded because I want to have the ability to make the iron smithing hammers.

thank you for updating this mod to the fork of combat overhaul, one of my favorite blackguard mods. one thing i have noticed with this version, the blackguard's longsword when sheathed with the quivers fork has a missing texture when in its sheath. also both the blackguard's longsword and shortsword are not placeable onto elks side storage.

Gaulahad, Jun 27th at 12:13 AM

While I am thrilled that you've enabled toolsmith compatability with CO weapons, I have noticed a slight issue. With this mod and your Forlorn Hope fork, it appears that you cannot craft an iron/meteoric iron hammer using toolsmith methods, as they default to the Blackguard/Forlorn Hope warhammers

Hi, First, thank you for updating this mod (alongside many others), It's really cool to see people going out of their way to fork and update outdated mods when the original creators are too busy/lost motivation to continue working on them.

That said, I did notice that the blackguard warden helmet has the wrong stats (lower armor compared to the rest of the set, and the steady aim penalty is only -10% instead of -15% like the standard blackguard helmet is). It would be awesome if you could fix that, please.

Also, I noticed people talking about the tracker armor in a previous post below, and that it is too weak and the skin layer should be removed from it. I think I'll throw my own two-cents in. I don't think it's weak at all, if you compare it to iron scale armor (same tier), it is a straight upgrade, with better manipulation stats and protection, especially against blunt, with the only penalties being slightly worse steady aim and hunger rate.
Of course, scale can be combined with tailored gambeson, while Tracker cannot. This combination results in scale getting a modest edge against slash and pierce, but now it has significantly worse penalties than the tracker armor.
The way I see it, tracker armor is the ultimate light armor set, granting you just enough overall protection to keep you from dying instantly to high tier enemies, while also giving you low penalties overall. If you were to allow wearing gambeson underneath it, it would make scale redundant (even steel scale), therefore you'd have to completely rebalance the whole armor to make them equivalent. You could instead buff the stats a little, but personally I think that is unneeded.

Anyways, that's my two-cents on that, thank you again for your work on forking/updating these mods.

I think making the Tracker armor include Skin layer may've nerfed it a bit too hard, and ya added movespeed penalty to the torso when nominally that's usually focused to just the leg sections of armor.

Other than that, I seem to have forgotten that CO itself made Blackguard Middle-Outer for layering

I was unaware the original CO-compat guy had done that himself, but it is honestly a poor choice since the stats on it are not worthy of all three layers, even with it as it is.

And apparently it actually needs a touch-up to not clip with other layers of armor, which the prior guy circumvented by just making it unwearable with other layers.

Velaroz, Jun 25th at 11:47 AM
@Alodh: yeah i didnt touch the stats at all. i wouldnt mind rebalancing, especially that these cant be quenched

A bit of rebalancing wouldn't be found amiss for the armors in this and the Forlorn Addtions. The last person to touch the stats forever ago just threw stats on by the looks of it.

Thank ya much, Alodh!

Metamorphage, Jun 23rd at 2:37 PM

i was yearning for a fork of this mod really badly because as it is if you drop all the CO mods in your save you will get class exclusive stuff for each class EXCEPT blackguard and i felt like bro ws a bit lonely in there thank u for this (tailor has special sheaths, hunter got the crossbows, clockmaker has guns and malefactor has slings)

Metamorphage, Jun 23rd at 2:35 PM

we love you alodh

Just when I had got done deciding to remove combat overhaul fork because it was conflicting with some other mods I'm using only for one of my favorite blackguard mods to be brought back with this fork forcing me to come crawling back to this set of mods again. 😭
