The Beasts of Men
A themed character pack based on popular monster girls.
New Race:
New Race:

Hoppers
A race of Leporidae. They have long, often floppy ears and short, bushy tails.
Alphas
A race of Canines. These encompass dogs, wolves, and foxes as some of their most notable subspecies. They have pointed ears and long, furry tails.
Longshanks
A race of Muridae. This encompasses mice, rats, and other small vermin. They have rounded ears and short, skinny tails. Their size also allows them to fit through smaller holes.
Purrlian
A race of Felines. This encompasses both large and small cat species. They have pointy ears and long, skinny, haired tails.
Windstriders
A race of Avians. This encompasses birds of all sizes and colorations. They have wings either along their arms or sprouting from their backs and feathered plumage from their waist.
Goober
A race of slimes, these little goobers come in various colorful iterations and are mostly see through! They are otherwise humanoid!
Bugger
A race of commonly winged often small insectoids, these creatures range from antlike, mothlike, spiderlike, and most often bee-like. They come in various colors and shapes.
'You should change Alpha into something not cringe!'
You should make your own mod.
'I saw your post on reddit and now I'm curious when you'll add traits. Are you working on that?'
Yup. Working on it.
'I'd like to add my own coloration/entire race to this but don't know how. How could I get that in?'
Link a picture and maybe I can work on it. I also intend on adding a tutorial on how to make your own races through the playerlib mod. At the moment I'm working on trying to figure out how to stabilize some of the issues below so I do not feel comfortable doing paid work or commissions
'Why are you adding furry things to vintage story? Is it because of Hytale??'
I have had an interest in this game long before Hytale devs were hired on.
'Did anyone ever actually ask these questions? This mod just came out!'
I've been posting WIPs on Reddit. Almost all of these questions or sentiments have been shared.
'My breasts stick out of this armor from this other mod and my mouse looks weird in these other modded clothes.'
Share the mod and I can maybe make a patch for it. Every piece of clothing and armor that you might want to wear requires its own modded shape for the female body or the mouse's reduced size. Mice, for example, have a resized version of every wearable in the game at the moment. There might be a smarter way to handle resizing these things. If anyone would like to offer a solution who has modding experience with Vintage Story, let me know.
'Combat Overhaul? Combat Overhaul!? COMBAT OVERHAUL!?
It seems to work. If there are any issues let me know. Even the Longshanks seem to work with Combat Overhaul despite their reduced size.
At the moment, the only dependency should be with player model lib.
The reason for this is that it adds the functionality to easily import other models into the game using the basic seraphim template as well as providing other functionality like resizing your hitbox. It's made by the same person who made the Combat Overhaul mod so hopefully it'll continue to improve and get better as he seems pretty fucking intelligent.
-With Combat Overhaul, you'll need to adjust your arm height in the interface settings when playing different sizes!
- Most modded clothes won't fit the breasted body type! I'm intending to do some of the more popular ones eventually but that takes time!

Removed the massive filebloat from the Longshanks old required extra files to be small. Put all of the individual races in their own category with male/female as a choice between them. Will potentially look into coding them more intelligently in the future to have some shape additions for breasts so male and female aren't their own 'model' insomuch as just another variation of a model. | |||||||

Added Mod | |||||||

this mod came up in something I was doing recently and I had no idea it had a harpy in it, haha
The only problem I have with this mod right now-- and it's a great mod, is that the animal ear fur and whatnot doesn't match the vanilla hair colors available, making it impossible to have the same color hair, tail, and ears. Gonna try and figure out how to make a patch for Additional Hair Colors. No idea what I'm doing, might break my game, wish me luck
If you figure something out I would very much appreciate if you would upload it and reply here so I get a notif for it, that's been bugging me too
So I was gonna try and do it. But couldn't figure it out. BUT another mod was updated to allow for compatibility (I just learned as it's been a bit since I logged in) called Additional Hair Colors that lets us change the hair tint and whatnot
Would you consider compatibility with the Regalia mods?
Hoppers are so cutee
could you add a pink version of the skins for kitties and foxies? and maybe a bigger, fluffier tail (kinda like fox one) for kitties?
I'll be working on this! Putting naga back on the list a small bit to work on dragon girls, but I'll make sure to fix goobers and figure out what's wrong with their clothes.
Hey, for some reason, the Goober+ Model (Female Goober) has permanently torn and disgusting molding clothes, no matter what they wear. I'd love to use this model, but as a clothier, this kills me. Normal Goober has clothing work just fine, so please fix this. Thanks.
nice :)
Hello! Just wanted to report a small bug. For some reason, the Goober hairs don't seem to be transparent in-game? Nor do the Goobers even seem to be pulling from their own hairpool.
Hey magic code person, I was wondering if you plan on making dragon girls an option, more specifically a non-anthro version more akin to an anime dragon girl where they are basically human but with added dragon parts (i.e. horns, wings, tail with possibility of having patches of scales on the body) this is entirely a selfish request due to being a fiend for non-anthro dragon girls
is it possible to remove or disable the voices for a server?
It should be relatively simple to JSON patch out for private server stuff.
My sibling is wanting to make a nekomimi on our private playthrough and wanted to know if there was a way to add more human skin tones and fur colors, they feel very limited in what they can make to their liking;
I know that for Kobolds there is a HEX system so my hair and skin can be any color, and not sure if there is a way to implement that for this mod?
HOH, thats AMAZING looking, i cant wait for when you get around to putting this out :D
if you are in the vintage story discord please @, me in it when you do (name is the same there as it is here)
this is incredibly cool :O
i just saw that lamia is a planned race, i cant tell you how much i am looking foward to being able to be a snake. what is actually your vision for them?
after recent updates to player model lib, it is working again
atleast from my somewhat limited testing
its player library breaking it and other mods right now. i was checking in relation to female seraph and its the same thing as below.
I love this mod so much and the new voices are so good! But on mod version 3.0 on vs1.22 stable, I'm not sure if it's a mod incompatibility or something, but the skin textures for Buggers are the only ones showing up. I increased my texture atlas size because it was mentioned recently, but it didn't work :(
Really it's just because VS's normal voicelines seem to work in a really odd way. They take the first snip of sound and then just warp and warble it over and over which means all sounds turn into either a REALLY rushed utterance or a small groan when you cut it apart.
But yes it does just sound like a moan if you play with the pitch a bit.
Is the calm one literally just moaning..
The new update should fix that and add a bunch of the new random bits and baubles that I've been working on.
New Haircolors, new voicelines, new underwear options, new skin-texture toggles to go from a few different complexions.
I was working on these things before I NEEDED to update due to the texture bug. Hopefully I hit most of the things added with the new update. If any vanilla clothes clip with the chesty models, let me know here and I'll go through and fix them.
The texture issue is ENTIRELY just in the update for VS. They replaced the texture reference code for overclothes from 'coat' to 'uover' and I'll be pushing the update shortly for it! SkippingKitten (Shortly being in the next friday night to saturday morning, and with some new customization that the new update has as well)
when i tried to play as a purrlian girl the chest texture is missing for the coat and i have tried hot fixes, uninstalling, reinstalling, increasing texture atlas size and i cant seem to solve it anyone know any solutions? im having this issue with the newest 1.22 verson of VS. i have the female sereph mod installed and its the starting coats
Would it be possible to see sheep/goat people in the future? While there are mods that add goat players, I'm not really a fan of the fully anthropomorphic style they go with, and have been looking for something that gives sheep/goat horns, ears and a similar tail, without going too far from the regular player model, but so far I've found nothing.
Base vintage story already comes with a lot of really messy/bushy hairs that would go great with these sorts of people, and using them in combination with the Antlers & Horns does make for an okay solution, but I didn't really like that it was missing the ears and tail.
Alright, sitting down and messing with the mod to figure out what went wrong and try to fix it. I'm gonna log my silly troubleshooting steps.
- Checking if the Forest Fire/LuckyLukoa skins are causing it. Disable all of them. Alphas load (unsure what version of PML was causing them to not load at all, will figure that out later), but skins are still white.
- Checking where the skin came from, I recall that I had set up a 'base white skin' as the texture base that the JSON then paints over. For whatever reason, the skin-selection just isn't working entirely while everything else is.
- Check the skin selection part of the JSON. For whatever reason, "overlayTexture": false has been there forever and has never caused a problem. Think 'well if the texture isn't overlaying, maybe this needs to be true?' Theoretically, 'false' means it should replace rather than add on but whatever works works...
- Fix some issues that this fix causes... Because, y'know, a lot of the original skins relied on being a full replace. Breasts are where they shouldn't be, I need to make the base texture for goobers fully blank because their transparency doesn't work without a full replace, etc, but nothing complicated.
- Seems to work. Gonna upload.
Message me here or on Discord (same name, I'm on the VS Discord) if you run into any issues!
ShiroTheOkami
Player Model lib 1.9.2 works, but not 1.9.1 or 1.9.0, so you didn't overshoot by that much! XD
However it's broken on any version of Player Model lib past 1.9.2 as far as I can tell, even the most recent ones, so it's still an issue.
Please, yes give me lamia. I need it.
I'd love too see a lamia model.
Okay, so with a bunch of testing with an AI, and managed to get it working... sorta. Some clothes seem to be black. For some reason playermodellib just does NOT like luckylukoaTTV. Here's what the AI said about it.
luckylukoaTTV.png— The texture file exists in the zip but PlayerModelLib still cannot find it during the texture atlas stage. The exact cause is unclear — possibly a case sensitivity issue at the OS or atlas-building level — but it consistently throwsTexture 'beastsofmen:racials/canine/luckylukoaTTV' not foundand causes both models to abort loading entirely. It also had me mess around with the forest fire skin, as apparently playermodellib doesn't like it having a space in its name either, but idk if thats another reason the entire race was just being snapped from existence.
Here's its full report I asked it to give. Im not entirely sure the forest fire space is an issue or not, as Im guessing its always been like that. Feel free to ignore this if you feel the AI is being an idiot, but this is what got it all to work for me.
The Alpha race fails to register entirely and does not appear in the character creation screen. After digging into the client log, the root cause is two texture lookup failures in the
furcolorskin part of bothalphas.jsonandalphaboys.json:forest fire.png— The texture file has a space in its filename, but PlayerModelLib's asset lookup is case/space-sensitive and cannot resolve it. This causes both Alpha model files to fail loading.luckylukoaTTV.png— The texture file exists in the zip but PlayerModelLib still cannot find it during the texture atlas stage. The exact cause is unclear — possibly a case sensitivity issue at the OS or atlas-building level — but it consistently throwsTexture 'beastsofmen:racials/canine/luckylukoaTTV' not foundand causes both models to abort loading entirely.PlayerModelLib throws a hard exception on any missing texture in a skin part, which causes the entire race group to silently fail registration rather than just skipping the bad variant.
Fix: Rename
forest fire.pngtoforestfire.pngand update the JSON code to match, and remove theluckylukoaTTVvariant entry from thefurcolorsection in bothalphas.jsonandalphaboys.jsonuntil the texture lookup issue is resolved. Also note: the missing
beastsofmen:clothes/armor/hide/bear/bodyshape errors affecting all races appear to be a separate pre-existing issue unrelated to the Alpha registration bug.So... for some reason the Alpha race doesnt show up? I'm using the tester version for 1.22.Every other version of playermodellib just makes it so the race menu doesn't even show up. Every other race works fine, but Alphas are just missing. I've tried different versions of beastsofmen too, but that just results in black model textures. I have no idea whats going on. I only have this mod and its requirements enabled btw.
Pilot749 You my friend are a godsend! I actually turned my character into an elf (fem seraph and goblin ears) in singleplayer because I couldnt wear my summer attire (Its from DtK), Im so excited I can have my floof back!
I already have you and another as a contributer do i have permission to use a tiny bit of your mod to release my own mod i have editied it and a few files connected to the model im not really goood at modelling im good at coding which is why i used them. I digress but Ive made colors traits and making and enitre new race with one. i figure id ask before releasing it to the public for now its just personal. Im only using the sliime,(I didn't know how to make translucent or make two genders).
ShiroTheOkami I actually made my own patch mod for a handful of clothing mods including regalia to account for beasts/builders of men's fem models
I've had the same problem as others here with the skin tones being stuck on white-ish - can confirm that going back to PlayerModelLib 1.9.2 fixes it, and 1.9.3 first introduces the problem.
I notice with the regalia mod the breasts clip through alot of the clothing options. Would it be possible to patch it so that they don't clip? Valkyrja patched the female seraph mod to resolve the issues there but since beasts of men has its own seperate models it doesnt seem to take effect, but it does appear to work on a normal female seraph, but I can't give up my floofy tail even for nice clothes D:
I downgraded to 1.8.1 but I probably overshot it. If 1.9.2 works thats great. Im sure it'll all be fixed soon, Im glad I was able to help bandaid the textures for the time being though, finding problem mods in big modpacks is always a pain.
I'll check what the playermodellib update changed and how to fix it shortly, then.
ShiroTheOkami what version did you downgrade to?
(edit: I downgraded to 1.9.2 of playermodel library and the textures work again)
For the people commenting below, I had this issue, it stems from something in the new playermodellib update, I downgraded back to the old version and issue was resolved. Id just wait until some more updates come out, and maybe post your issues on that mod aswell. Not sure what in the new thing is breaking it, but I heard he was preping the code for a addon for custom models, Im assuming thats what broke the existing stuff. Im sure it will be fixed in time.
Ever since I updated Player model lib I've experiance the same as the four bellow me. Loving the mod every update I change characters using commands.
I too am experiencing the issue where the models are seemingly broken. Not only are the skin tones stuck, but it seems like the models with breasts aren't loading the breasts properly either (On my end at least)
Having the same issue with this and builder's, all creatures in this pack and builders are stuck on default skin tones :P
I am also experiencing an issue with changing skin colors in this mod, running on a multiplayer 1.21.6 server
Hey, love the mod. Being able to have ears and tail without being one of the furry races is really nice. Few questions:
Hi! I recently updated to 1.21.6, and updated this mod and PlayerModelLib to their rceent versions. However, I'm experiencing an issue where I cannot change the skin color of any of the races besides seraph from their default. (Yellow for Buggers, white for the rest). Do you know what could be causing this? This and PlayerModelIb are my only mods.
Centarian It's in each individual race file, near the top. You can do a patch job mod to replace the ranges there, though i left it very open because I figured, at the lowest possible skill level, servers can just tell people what size range to make their models!
So you'll go beastsofmen/config/customplayermodel/SPECIFICMODELFILE
And then you'll want to replace-
With your preferred. So if you want to make it so they're ALWAYS reguler size, you can just make it-
If you need help putting that into a patch file for a server or some other use, let me know what size ranges you want each race (or all races) to be and I'll give you a quick patch file format so you can upload it for your server!
Where did you put the file that determines the size range?
I've been trying to find it to edit it but I don't see it anywhere, even with find and replace.
I would love to see the flying animation for the bird race updated so their little wings flap! We have rustbound magic on our server so a few members have the flight spell, and they've said it would just make them that much happier if their wings flapped lol.
Love the new race additions by the way, keep up the wonderful work!
Alright, Thanks again for the update looking forward to another little mouse huntress again anyways! XD
0w0 I don't think so. It requires some of the new playermodellib stuff to function D:
YEa! Thanks for the Update! Entropoly
Oh Side Note, Does this update work with the Previouse 1.20.12 version of the game?
Desolae Added a picture as you suggested! Nothing TOO complicated with them, but I said I wanted slimes and so slimes are in!
JasonFinch It should be pretty easy to add traits now, yeah. Playermodellib even has a bunch of added player attributes to make traits out of, it seemed!
I'd definitely make that a config or patch mod for them, though. A lot of people want to avoid mandatory trait additions and I know at least a few RP servers have used this modpack already that seemed to be wary over those kinds of additions.
Thank you so much for the height re-write!!!! Being a mouse-sized cat has been my dream and now it's here! -It could be nice to add a quick example pic of the Goober race to the mod page, they look super cool.
thinking about it, with how the character creator is now for alternative player races beyond seraph, it might be easier to add traits?
Ngl I'm hoping these sorts of mods get to the point where we can just straight up have really complex stuff available to us. Like those anime girl models that one dude makes for minecraft over on Youtube. For this mod specifically, I do hope to see some of the more 'furry adjacent' type monster gal's like some of the MGE gals.
Alright, fixed a bunch of issues, made it so everyone can be ridiculously small or huge because if you're playing with this modpack I assume you're here for a good time, and put the races in their own categories to remove some of the dropdown list bloat (cut it in half, basically).
afsluitdijk1312 I'm gonna just be messing with this today, fixing the rats to work off the slide scale (this mod is so old that it predates the sliding scale for size so the rats are literally just every article of clothing scaled down 75% manually on a body that matches) so basically everyone will have a much wider range of size and shape. No config, but the spirit of this mod is definitely just fun for fun's sake.
Causes a crash-to-desktop when using Expressions with this race pack. The expressions window will load completely blank, then crash the client when either hitting confirm or "X" to close the window.
I would also like to second a desire for more colors, or at least somehow add pathing for seraph colors so that mods that add onto seraphs skin/eye/etc colors will work properly.
Hey! A friend of mine wants to be a purrlian but also smaller than 80%. I couldn't find a config file, so I edited the mod files myself, and added the SizeScale attribute to the purrlian json file. I couldn't get it to work though. Are you planning on adding config options for size? And could you tell me what I could change to allow more flexible sizes for models?
Entropoly I love this mod, but is there a way we can get more eye colors? Like reds and other colors too with this mod. Thanks for reading this! :D
Hello, I would love to help keep this mod up to date if you would provide the source for it as im sure lots of people would agree with me that they love your mod and would very much love to have it updated. Let me know if i can help, i dont mind volenteering to do so for free.
meoow, i love your mod <3
The legend is back, yippee!!!!
LilianaXolkiyr I'll never make traits a mandatory addition to this modpack.
Crystalline_Fox Missed some of the new pieces for the chest-y bits! I'll get that fixed up in a bit!
Birb_II Well heck. I'll go back and re-do how I'm doing the harpy arms with that in mind. Thought I had it with what I'd had before. Should be easy to just overlay the texture over the base model texture and add the wings now that I know more about what I'm doing.
Back on the vintage story modding grind. Been busy with life for a while.
I just noticed that, from what I can tell, the forlorn hope armor and blackguard armor seem to have the chest on female alpha's clip through it, I have not tested this with other species but I can potentially assume there may be similar issues with them as well, I'm unsure if this is due to a bug or if this is just there just isn't models for those armors, or if it's potentially some other mod I have that I'm not noticing causing this.
Hey, is it possible that there could be a fork that will never have the traits? I'm trying to push for this to be added to a server and their only hesitation is the future promise of racial traits. I'd even be willing to maintain the racial trait-less version.
Nice mod but I have came accross an issue when used with combat overhaul armory. If I'm wearing multiple layers of armor the arm texture is clipping and only when I used the windstrider model(my guesser are because of the redesigned arm). Normal seraph model doesn't cause such problems. Any idea wether this is an issue on my side or something that needs to be fixing? I really like this mod but with all the clipping its very janky.
Edit: Almost every clothing which has a part that covers the arm causes texture clipping.
I wonder if this mod is getting updated so that every new haistyle is included?
Entropoly No texture mods to my knowledge, will double check as well as do a clean install for it.
Game is V1.21.4(stable)
Update: no joy, every other mod (not player model lib) was turned off and the issue still appeared, I wish I could be of more assistance.
Thank you either way.
Wolf
Any news on when the new update for this is going to drop? c:
Wolf42 Any mods that change clothes or textures in general? What version of the game are you on? Not seeing the exact same problem, but it's going on the fix-it list with a few other things if I can figure out where this is coming from.
Entropoly
Ran into a bug, the fem models were unable to load clothing properly and were displaying basically a white dress over the model. Happens on all classes to some extent (commoner shown below.) Not running anyother playermodel mods so I am uncertain as to which would be causing it.
Thank you for the mod in the meantime!
Humbly requesting lizard girls with horns and tails.
hi! this looks cool, does it work with Kenomo?
IzuZoomie Well, here you go. Check it out and let me know if you think it could be better in any way!
Entropoly the new pack you're working on sounds like it's going to be right up my groups alley, super nice. Not many of them enjoyed the Monster Girls, but I feel like the new mod might be their thing for sure. Super excited to see this mod and the new mod flourish, now that you mentioned how much things have been simplified!
Resserfi is something broken? I just booted it up a second ago and it was working. I'm working on a subsequent mod with more fantasy races (Builders Of Men, going with a theme I guess) and that'll be the next big thing I make. Then I'll go back and clean this one up as time hasn't been kind to it (a few pieces of new clothing to get, more resizing options, and pruning a lot of excessive/unneeded stuff that playermodellib now supports natively(resizing character models was ORIGINALLY DONE by simply making a model at 75% scale and making an alternative clothing set for ALL the clothes at that size. Now I can just make playermodellib resize to 75% by default it seems)). Update soonish in that regard but otherwise I'll be releasing a new mod shortly.
PrinceShuu Batlike can easily be folded into the stuff I have for the bird people so I'll put that on the growing list of things to do. A simple, more humanoid 'undine' race (just people with fish ears) is planned for the next mod I have coming out with some of the experience I've been getting adding in custom traits to add things like breathing underwater.
smt923 I'll put them on the list! They're after Rustbound Magic.
OmegaEclipse85 However Female Seraph managed to have numerous body types is smarter than I'll ever be. I'll look at it and see if I can't patch it or just ask the maker if I can co-op some of their work into my own mod with attributions.
IzuZoomie The ability to scale your model was added after I made this mod, but I'll definitely go through and add in more of that when I update this one later. As a purely 'fun' mod, I can't see ANY harm in letting people go as small as 10% and as large as however the interger for that goes. Ideally I can set up a config for server owners to enable or disable this (if they can't just tell their players to be a certain height) but I don't think a LOT of servers that would care about silly height shenanigans would use a mod like this.
when update?
I'd love it if there was a Bat-like race and an Aquatic Race.... Fishmen or Merpeople kind of idea.
love this mod, is there any chance we could get a compatability patch for the few extra clothing in wool & more (https://mods.vintagestory.at/wool)? and possibly american frontiersman (https://mods.vintagestory.at/americanfrontiersman)?
this might be a big ask but is there a way we could get the Viking hair mod(valkyrjahair), Female Seraph mode and more undergarments mod to work with this so we can have more body types to work with. by the way I also just want to say I really love this mod it's really good.
more freedom for player height customization would be neat, I'm not sure how well it would work with the animations and such as already mentioned a few posts below, but it would be fun to mess around with.
Can confirm the tester version of this mod works well on 1.21.0 (at least in singleplayer both SP and MP work)! I really love the attention to detail and animations and I'm excited for the future of it!
someone i know is interested in getting on a Vintage story server, but they want a snake-person model before they do it, i hope that comes about in the next few months, i think they might like the game.
ahhhhh i want to be bunny girl so bad but still not updated... I will be waiting patiently
Hey! Would you be able to add a config via configlib to your mod for custom size scaling? playermodel lib itself has an example apparently!
I've noticed that vintage story has some weird bugs when it comes to camera and sleeping in general (often scooting along the floor, etc) so I'm hoping that's some normal bugginess that works itself out. Let me know if it's a consistent issue though!
As for the rest of the stuff, hair color, face shapes, necklaces, etc, I'll look into it or reach out to the mod maker to see if I can make a patch mod for them.
As a small Longshank, when I sleep my camera goes back to the default height. Using CO, if that matters. Was wondering if theres a known fix for this or just an issue with the 1.20.12 version?
Love the mod tho, 100% my group's new favorite!
EDIT: For whatever reason, this only happened the first three times I slept. After that its been 100% fine with no issues.
Hey I have a issue with the reload animations for the windlass crossbow and guns that use slugs for ammo added by Maltiez's firearms and crossbow mods the wepons still work but the animation is goofy. Would be great if there is a fix for this.
I'm sad this doesn't work with Old Face 2D
I was curious is there a way to get the Reworked Seraph Faces to work on the newer iterations? Ive since downgraded back down and everything is working just dandy, I was just curious cause the newer Playerlibs seem to break Reworked faces all together, if its too much work to do Im fine waddling in the past files xD Im in a happy spot where most of my mods are working while I wait for a stable 1.21 to break it all xDD
This is my favorite mod now. I wanted something like that for so long. Made few notes:
1. Necklaces. They clips with breasts.
2: Colors don't match, that's sad. Even the whitest hair still darker than my white wolf ears.
3. Alphas (don't know about others) have two styles. Small tail, standing ears. big fluffy tail, but one ear is down. I prefer big fluffy tail and standing ears. Someone will want small tail and lowered ear, more options is always good.
4: Maybe different breasts size, like in female seraph mod? Don't sure, that may request major models rework.
Can you add lime green cat ears with pink inside along with lime green cat tail with a pink tip be added? Also, amazing mod! Keep up the great work.
Mods' great so far, but I'm curious about eye color. For instance, I was experimenting with the hellhound set and something that bugged me is that VS's eye colors are very lackluster. You have like, what feels like 4 colors but with a bunch of different shades. Nothing even close to a reddish brown or something that doesn't feel... conflicting.
I installed eyesofmesana and found that while it works for Seraphs, it doesn't apply to the BoM character models :(
Of course, no rush if you're already busy with stuff, but will this be something added to the mod moving forward? Either compatability with EoM or somehow allowing the character selection to represent a much more diverse range of eye colors.
Thank you for this mod, it's an addition I did not expect yet welcome all the same!!!
out of curiosity, what kind of traits are you thinking of for the races? I'd figure the Windstriders get some form of slow-fall, and the hoppers get higher jump height or reduced fall damage?
ZAMUDARA Rustbound magic is definitely one of the mods I'm looking to make work with BoM! (Small characters will also clip through the clothes).
kolyanix You're a fucking legend!
For big girls lovers — you can change arms height position in game settings\interface. Works fine with CO.
just fyi the model's lady bits do stick out of the armour from rustbound magic
its not a prticularily big issue but it never hurts to mention it
great mod though i love it
windstrider gang
Ooooh, I see the problem now. Yeah, that's an issue with bigger models rather than the smaller ones then. Okay, so there is definitely not just Combat Overhaul, but Combat Overhaul will be effected by it because of its fluid and intense animation based gameplay. I'll see if Maltiez has an idea to fix it as it doesn't seem to get fixed by his no hands mod.
Resizing the entire model does work with vanilla animations due to how the resizing process works both in the way I manually did it for Longshanks and the way the slider works, but CO animations are a different beast entirely and much more involved in the way the game works when running that mod.
To explain the issue a bit, the game has a very specific way it handles first person camera point of view. Your character model, while in first person, is rendering in your game like
So my best guess is that the issue is one of camera position then and the way combat overhaul handles animations. Right now, the only fix I can suggest is avoiding larger model sizes or learning to fight in 3rd person (which works surprisingly well with CO) until I figure out how to patch in a fix for this, as I think Maltiez is mostly saving a lot of the updates for playermodellib for 1.21's update that is supposedly rapidly approaching. Porting a bunch of things back to 1.20 is complicated for mods of that sort. Worst case scenario, I can work on messing with the animations and see if there's a reasonable fix for it.

Can I get a full modlist from either Mr_DewmTheKid or Geist? I'm going through some of the issues mentioned and I'm not noticing any camera bugs besides some potentially reasonable issues with longshanks having a bit of a different framing of things (which I'll probably go ahead and try to fix, seems like they just need their eyes lowered a bit. Things should seem bigger to them rather than smaller, after all? But if arms are getting in the way I need to figure out why)

Also please state the version of game you're playing on so I know which version to test through.
Additionally, I have the patch for CO:Armory for those asking for it. https://mods.vintagestory.at/bomcoa
Hey im noticing the mouse model causing issues with crossbow mod and the firearm mod. the camera seems to get bugged and the animations are off. when switching to a standard character model the camera bug persisits. i went as far as to disable playerlib all together and that fixed it but after its turned back on the issue returns. it puts the stock of the gun in the players face. im not sure if thats a BoM issue or a playerlib issue. either way I thought id let you know about it.
The mod was specifically Combat Pverhaul:Armory. The only armors i checked was lether and the grass armor you can make early game. just as a reference.
How did you go about doing it? Im curious about the process and programs you use to resize clothes for the smaller race because i was considereing taking a crack at it out of curiosity.
 The Mod https://mods.vintagestory.at/armory
Some modded clothes won't work with the smaller race. I'll probably go through CO and a bunch of the other big ones and patch in proper sizes for them. Currently workign on traits, but fixing up some mod compatibility shouldn't be hard.
Hey man, love the mod. The longshank has some bad clipping with armor when using Combat Overhaul. i suspect its because CO uses its own armor slots. When I turned the mod off the armor fit like normal.

Okay these should actually work lol
Edit: It also might be due to a conflict with combat overhaul? as i believe they might change some animations(?)
When i get back to my pc i'll have to test it out
That's a link to your own C: drive. I'll need something hosted on a site. I can see it's on your onedrive, but you'll need a URL for that.

hey, can't seem to find the 0.29 version of the player model lib?
Edit:nvm just updated for me.
Geist Trying to get the mod working with the latest update of playermodellib and in that one, sizing them down to the smallest a mouse can be can let them fit through a 1-high block hole. Right now, they can fit snugly through a chiseled hole the size of one and a half vertical slabs in height.
are there any plans to make the mouse race to be small enough to go into 1 block high areas? if not could we get a rat race that could? dreaming about living my rat days in a cavern
It would be great to get to use the current Seraph skin tones with these races. Any plans to add those?
something im hoping for/looking forward to
*dragons and moths/butterflies*
cus A: - i play as a dragon lol
and
B: - some of my friends play as a moth and wont play unless he can.. lol

*cheers*
FirefoxEzo for 1.20.12 use 0.0.12 version of the lib, 0.0.13 for 1.21
Been trying to get this to work on 1.20.12 but will not load using playermodel 0.0.13. Iattempted to run only this and the dependency but only version of playermodel that loads this is version 0.0.25 and 0.0.26 but they dont have any textures. I can get many other mods working except this one properly for even single player.
I'm not sure if I missed something, but with all the dependencies installed for the 1.20.12 version I'm on (I triple checked that Beasts, PlayerLib and the Female Seraph mods all were on the 1.20.12 version of the mods) I get the character select options for everything, but none of the textures seem to load for any of the bodies besides the basegame one and everything is just pure white. Got any idea what could be causing it?
Edit: Disregard; I just realized I missed the big, fat text saying not to update past 0.13 of the player lib mod unless specifically told to do so on the mod page.
DocOrKirb I had a similar problem until I manually installed the file and extracted the folder into my mods folder. Not sure if that'll help, but if you throw me your mod list then I can test it out to see if it's a you issue or a bigger problem that could use fixing.
Also, make sure to get the right version of player model lib for your game version. The one that's one-click on the page is for pre-1 rather than stable.
hey so im trying to get this mod to work but am having trouble i have the dependancy but the options just aint showing up is there something i missed?
