For testers (for Vintage Story 1.22.0-pre.1 - 1.22.7):
autoimm_1.0.0-rc.2.zip 1-click install
Requires: InsanityLib and Integrated Mod Manager
Ever wanted to edit some setting through IMM's mod setting menu, only to realize the other mod doesn't have a IMM support? Well I haven't but I'm here to try and fix this anyway.
Features:
- Automated IMM config definitions for Typed Configs (meaning configs that have an actual code class associated with it)
- Shows description from code documentation*
- Supports data annotation attributes (the standard .NET ones that ConfigKit/AutoConfigLib/InsanityLib also use)
*This required the creator of the mod to enable the output of the documentation file
Limitations / Disclaimer:
As you may expect there are some limitations, it's dependent on the quality and design choices of the other mod
- Not all configs will show up, some configs are loaded in ways that make it very hard to hook onto (mostly due to the relevant methods being generics and for some reason this is practically impossible to Harmony Patch...)
- Configs from mods that are also required server side are always consider server configs (no good way to distingish, unfortunately)
- Configs will only show up if they exist on disk, most mods make sure the file is created though some only do this once a change has been made. (IMM can't do anything with them untill they exist on disk anyway)
- Large enum flags won't show up (IMM does not support multi selects and IMM's validation becomes exponentially slower the more options you add so this is to prevent IMM from hanging on validation) from InsanityLib 2.1.5 and onwards
Note for modders: if you want a more complete code first config management (and not just IMM integration) then consider using InsanityLib instead
(essentially AutoConfigLib but for IMM and using InsanityLib's translation instead of it's own copy)
PS: For the modders out there, InsanityLib actually has commands for generating and exporting this file so you can use it as a baseline and fine tune it yourself.

now ignoring configs that don't exist on disk (since IMM can't do anything with these), this filters out legacy stuff | |||||||

This gets the Yang seal of approval.
Yay, thanks for this. I will be trying it out shortly. IMM is a way better user experience.
