Alegacy Claims — land claims by chunks, managed entirely through a window with a map. Press L, select chunks and claim them from bedrock to sky — no commands, coordinates or corner-marking.

Claiming land

  • The map shows the terrain around you: your claims, claims you can access, and others' claims in different colours, with an arrow where you stand.
  • Claims are whole chunk columns. Click or drag a rectangle, then create, extend or trim a claim with one button.
  • New chunks touching your claim join it, chunks bridging two of your claims merge them, and detached pieces become separate claims. Cutting a claim in two keeps everyone's access in both halves.
  • The limit is counted in chunks: 10 per player by default, admins can grant more.
  • Keep a gap from claims you have no access to (10 chunks; 1 from traders), shown hatched on the map. A trusted player may build right next to you.
  • While the window is open: arrows pan, +/− zoom, Esc closes, and your character stays still.

Access and rights

  • Per-player access with the vanilla levels: Traverse, Use (doors, chests, workstations) or All (also build). Players are picked from a list of who is online.
  • Access for groups or for everyone.
  • Hand out management rights: add players, change borders, change settings, and pass those rights on.
  • Rename, transfer or delete a claim; dangerous actions ask for confirmation.

Plots and renting

  • Carve plots out of a claim with their own rights; the owner always keeps access to every plot.
  • Rent plots for a number of days or with no end date, with a price note. One plot can have several tenants, each with their own term.
  • Tenants build and give access only on their plot; access ends by itself when the lease runs out. The owner can extend leases or evict.

World map

  • Claims are drawn on the regular world map (M) as a bold outline with the name in the middle: green yours, yellow where you have access, red others'. Hover to see the name and owner.
  • The layer can be switched off on the map.

Compatibility

  • Works on top of vanilla land claims: protection, /land and old command-made claims keep working; old claims can be aligned to chunks with one button.
  • /land list and /land free show sizes in chunks.
  • Admin commands: /claimsadmin info | addchunks | setchunks | admin | reload.
  • Requires Arcanum Lib. Install on both server and client.

- World map: claims show by default; the claims window has a single "Claims on the world map" checkbox (or Shift+[) instead of two, shown only when the server allows claims on the map. Claims are drawn only over land you have explored.
- Server config reorganised into sections (`Limits`, `Gaps`, `Map`, `Window`, `Rights`) with four clear claim kinds: Players, Vanilla (/land), Traders, Ruins. Each kind has its own gap and map mode; Vanilla, Traders and Ruins are hidden on the map by default, staff included, and admin mode shows everything. New: `Map.ShowOnWorldMap` (keep claims off the vanilla map, window still shows them), `Map.ByRole` (per-role overrides) and `Window` (separate rules for the claims window). An old config is converted automatically on first start.
- Default gap to other players' claims is now 5 chunks (was 10).
- Map hover info no longer gets cut off: position and chunk status are on two lines.
- Roles instead of checkboxes. Each player in a claim gets one role: Guest (doors, chests, workstations), Resident (also builds), Manager (also adds guests/residents and changes settings) or Co-owner (also moves borders and hands out roles). The old access and rights checkboxes are still there under "Fine-tune" for special cases, and existing claims keep working unchanged.
- New "everyone may" switches: let all players open doors and gates, or chests and storage, without opening up the whole claim.
- Clear reason when you can't claim: hovering a blocked chunk shows how many free chunks separate you from the nearby claim and how many are needed, and that claim is outlined on the map.
- "Trusted" is now called "Neighbour" (may claim right next door, no access inside).

  • Added a toggle to show or hide claim borders and names on the world map and minimap. Hotkey: Shift+[ (rebindable). There is also a "Borders on the world map" checkbox under the map in the claims window, and your choice is saved.
  • By default, the world map and minimap now show only chunk claims. Manual plots (trader stalls, service plots) are hidden, and you can bring them back with the "And manual claims" checkbox.
  • Server admins can now choose what regular players see on the map: trader and quest-NPC plots, camps and ruins, and other players' claims. Each can be "everyone", "nearby only" or "staff only", and you can set per-trader or per-NPC rules. By default, trader, quest and camp plots show only within 3 chunks and never in unexplored land. Your own and shared claims are always visible, and building next to hidden plots is still blocked.
  • These visibility rules now apply to the main map (M) and the minimap, not just the claims window. The server sends them on join and when the config is reloaded.
  • You now only need a 1-chunk gap next to trader plots and other neutral world plots (camps, ruins). The big gap still applies next to other players' claims.
  • Overload protection: a single selection can't exceed 4096 chunks, over-limit selections are rejected immediately, and very rapid clicks in the claims window are temporarily ignored.

Any way do disable showing the plots of all traders and quest locations on the map?

@L_Kaewan: Any way do disable showing the plots of all traders and quest locations on the map?

It's possible now, if I understood the request correctly.
