About

Aegis is the shared client component for a collection of custom multiplayer experiences built on Vintage Story.

Individual servers on the network can use Aegis for their own gameplay systems, interfaces, effects, and other client-side functionality.

• This is not a standalone content mod or singleplayer experience.
• Installing it does not automatically provide access to a server.

Hexxed is currently the most developed project on the network and is looking for playtesters.

Hexxed completely breaks away from the normal Vintage Story gameplay loop. Instead of joining a persistent survival world, players enter an arena and choose from a roster of heroes, each with their own abilities, weapons, strengths, weaknesses, and playstyles.

Teams fight through short objective-focused matches where mechanical skill, positioning, and teamwork matter.

 

This is still very much a tech demo rather than a finished game. Expect unfinished assets, balance changes, bugs, missing features, and things occasionally being held together with duct tape.
