Tyron mentioned the idea of allowing the pulverizer to increase yield of ore and I was a bit dissapointed to see that it did not make the cut for the 1.14 release. So i decided to just make the quick addition myself so the pulverizer has more utility.
This mod currently adds the ability for pulverizers to crush ores- normal and crystalized, and doing so will output more nuggets than if you used a hammer in the crafting grid, the output is dependent on the ore type but you will get at least 1 extra nugget for all ores and up to 2 extra on some others. Ores also need the proper tier of cap on the pulverizer as well, for balance reasons you will need iron caps to pulverize iron ores.
To fix base game conflicts with pulverized cassiterite and similar dusts, you can now use a hammer in the crafting grid on the nuggets for the pulverized variant, stuff like olivine still needs pulverizer but the dye-dusts can be created this way now.

With my testing, it appears to work in 1.18.13, yes. Surprising, really!
Does this mod still work in 1.18.13?
Works fine in 1.16, should work through most major version changes in the future, at least until new ores are added.

Hi, I think that there is an bug with Titanium. Pulverizing chunks gives less nuggets (not crushing version) than strait up smashing them with the hammer in crafting grid. For exapmle: medium chunk (in granite or any other) when pulverized will give only 2 nuggets, and smashing that same chunk with hammer will give 4 nuggets.
1.1.0 changes:
Added crytalized ores to the list.
Fixed conflicts with new crushed items, eg: cassiterite. Now you can use a hammer to crush ores for their pulverized dust when applicable, other stuff like olivine still needs to be crushed in the pulverizer as similar to vanilla.
Could you make a version without the bonus?
